chapter 3: Jealousy

Stella's pov

I was walking in the hallways late at night looking for Beatrix, because I wanted to ask her if she was okay and what was written in the note that made her take off like that. People's opinions didn't really matter to me, but she was a first year and somehow the 2nd most powerful air fairy in Alfea and very manipulative and I didn't want people seeing her like that, and thinking I have something to do with it.

And that's when I saw it, Riven and Beatrix sharing a smoke, but in a very intimate way, like she smoked it than blew it into his mouth, I don't know if that makes sense but that's what I saw, and I wish I didn't. "Hey Stella...want some?" Riven said smiling. Beatrix turned around and I felt jealous, the worst part is that I didn't even know why. I took a deep breath, trying to hide the jealousy in my voice and said "no thanks, I was looking for someone But it seems like they're not here, so um yeah Goodnight".

Before any of them could say anything, I quickly walked away trying to process whatever I just saw and I knew it was just the beginning. I finally reached the suite and it seemed like everyone was asleep. I went into my room and found a girl with curly brown hair and brown eyes, rearranging my closet. "What are u doing?" I whispered trying not to wake the others up. "I'm your new roommate and I'm putting my clothes in here because we have to share a closet" the girl said not looking at me.

"Roommate?? No one told me anything about this and I certainly don't want to share a room with anyone" I said, saying the last part rudely. "You don't have to worry about me, I'll be invisible I promise by the way I'm Flora" she said finally looking at me and giving me a small smile. "You already know who I am" I said grabbing the robe in the closet and walking into the bathroom.

I took a shower for about 30 minutes, dried my hair, brushed my teeth than wore my pajamas. When I finally came out of the bathroom, Flora was already asleep and she looked adorable making me realize how rude I was towards her and she was kind enough to set up my side of the bed this made me feel guilty. I made my way to bed and wished this day would be over already.

It was morning and I was the second one to wake up as usual. Aisha was already dressed and was ready to go for her morning swim. "You came back late yesterday" she said starting the topic with that. "Morning to you too Aisha" I said sarcastically "I got to go and please be kind to Flora, byee Stella" she said leaving the room. I took a shower, got dressed, put on light make up and left the suite.

Today I had to be extra early because Miss Dowling wanted to show me how to balance magic before she left for something important. When I passed by the cafeteria I saw Beatrix and Riven with each other and they were all over one another. I had a bunch of emotions mixed with each other which I thought I left yesterday but I was wrong. I knew I was jealous, but why I didn't know.

"Hey princess" a familiar voice said behind me, "Hey Flora, need anything" I asked trying not to sound rude. The girl smiled at me and handed me my phone and a cupcake than said while smiling. "You left your phone back at the suite and Terra told me that you don't normally eat anything in the morning, so I brought u a cupcake". This girl never fails to surprise me and not to mention we only met a day ago and how rude I was to her, but she was still sweet towards me.

"Thanks Flora and sorry for being all rude to you yesterday" I said the last part nervously. She gave me a sweet smile than said "It's okay, no need to worry and I gotta go, byee princess" she said before leaving and winking at me. She winked at me, you don't see that everyday, but i got Butterflies just by thinking about it. I could feel someone staring at me, but who it was I didn't know and when I turned back to take one look at Beatrix before going into head mistress Dowling's office, she was already staring and she wasn't all smiley about it.

She looked jealous from where I was standing, but maybe that was just my imagination. I went in to Miss Dowling's office than my lesson started.

When I finally finished with my lesson, I left the office and surprisingly Beatrix was waiting for me, but she didn't seem that happy. "Who was that girl you were talking too?" She asked not looking up from her book, "Why does that matter to you, shouldn't you be with Riven or something" I answered. Finally looking up the girl said "I just want to know who she is and where does Riven enter this conversation exactly". I put my phone down on the table.

Than sat the opposite side of where Beatrix was sitting, "Why does it matter who she is and why do u want to know Beatrix? plus you and Riven have been hanging out a lot since you came here". I said, whispering the last part. The girl stood up and took her book and said before leaving "I'll find out on my own if you don't want to tell me".

I really didn't understand this girl and why she cared so much about finding out who Flora is, could she actually be jealous? But why.

Sorry for updating late, got held up with school and all but here, I'll try to update this faster, but thank you for reading this :)). This is a total of 985 words and ngl I kinda ship Flora and Stella, but Stellatrix is my main. Pls don't forget to vote and thanks again for taking the time to read this :))
