The group made their way to the transfiguration room. The Weasley boy was tasked with making sure Lockhart kept up with the group. It was a rather difficult job since he now doesn't remember all the moving paintings and ghosts which more than a couple times distracted him from following. When they finally arrived at the classroom Minerva shrieked.
"What is going on here! What are you three doing out of your dormitories and how did you find Ginny?" Her questions came out fast and demanding but when Gilderoy rounded the corner her inquiries doubled.
"Oh hello! Are you my mother or maybe my sister?" He unashamedly asked.
The woman was dumbfounded. She looked to the students for an explanation.
"His memories are completely erased professor," Harry chimed in.
"But how..." she couldn't form the end of that question.
"He's a fraud professor. He's been taking the credit for other witches and wizards deeds and obliviating them after so that he can claim the glory," Y/N explained.
"And he nearly obliviated us too!" Ron came in excitedly, "But luckily Y/N blocked the charm and it bounced back and hit him."
The older woman's eyes darted from each student to the next after they each added their bit of information, now falling on Y/N.
"I didn't mean to professor." They were fearful what ramifications would come of this.
McGonagall however surprised them. "That is incredibly impressive Mx. Y/L/N. Blocking spells like the Oblivious charm requires more advanced learning."
Y/N let out the breath they were holding as a warmth flooded their chest.
"And the monster? Did you three...?" McGonagall tried to wrap her mind around three second years defeating an ancient beast that had evaded even Dumbledore all these years.
"It was a basilisk and actually it was just Harry. He killed the beast," Y/N answered.
"With the help of Dumbledore's phoenix. I would be dead if it wasn't for Fawkes." The raven haired boy admitted.
Nothing could have surprised the old professor more than the news she had received just them. "I'm sure I will receive a more comprehensive account of the events later, but for now I want all of you to go to the infirmary." The three started to exit but she continued, "Oh and take Lockhart with you."
Ron sighed and begrudgingly retrieved the absentminded man. The walk to the hospital wing was quiet, mainly because everyone was exhausted. Once the large wooden doors were in front of them Harry knocked three times. Being the middle of the night one would think it could take a couple minutes for a response. However, madam Pomfrey opened the door seconds later. After a gasp she beckoned them inside quickly looking over each one. Y/N was surprised to see both professors Sprout and Snape in the matrons office. They were engrossed with the cauldron boiling on the table when the potions teacher caught sight of the students who now entered the wing. He excused himself from the work for a moment to asses the situation and walked up to Y/N.
"Mx. Y/L/N, what's going on here?"
As the greasy haired man towered over them they gulped, "Well to put it briefly professor; I discovered Lockhart has been lying about his fame, Harry, Ron, and I found the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets, and Harry defeated the monster which was a Basilisk and saved Ginny."
Snaped looked at Lockhart very much not surprised by the news about him.
"What are you supposed to be?" the blonde carless man asked his previously known colleague.
