Century of Queen Mother

Queen Elizabeth, the Queen mother is a popular face of British royalty. For nearly a hundred years she has dedicated herself unselfishly for her family, friends, and her duties. Despite her age, she fit in well with the younger members of the commonwealth family. When the Queen mother steps out, she is always a gracious lady with gracious smiles. Flower shows are her forte. Cameras present, her natural charm and adequacy chime through. She was delightful. According to the Queen, she has always been a morvours mother. She was never interfering.

The Queen mother openly admits that she likes to enjoy herself for fun and a good time. But behind this image there was a tough, charming, public relations genius who believes deeply for institutions of the state. Privately she is ultra conservative and in fact politically incorrect. Born at the turn of the century, she was one of the last ladies of the privilege days of nobility. She can exercise control by her very presence. She admits privately that a glass of wine is one of her little treats. She breaks all of the class barriers.

For nearly a century the Queen Mother's presence have graced the balcony at Balkoham Place. The palace has become a trademark of the British Monarchy. Their family was like a film. A term used by the late King George VI. The Queen Mother married her husband in 1923. 25 years later in 1948, they drove out of the gates of Bukingham palace to the sound of cheers from the crowd to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary.

Queen Victoria was the reigning monarch when Elizabeth was born in hunger. She has been on the throne for 63 years and had nine children. In 1901, she died, and her eldest son ascended to the throne as King Edward VII with his beautiful wife Queen Alexandria, their son became King George V in 1910. Against this background of royal history, Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes was born on the 4th of August 1900 to an aristocratic family, her father the 14th Earl of Strathmore, who is a descendant to King Robert of Scotland, inherited a small fortune in 1904 and became a multi-millionaire by today's standards.

Her father didn't think much of the royal family so when they thought that she would be married into the royal family, he wasn't impressing with that. Educated at him, Elizabeth grew up at Glans Castle in the Scotland's most impressive ancient buildings. They have been around since 1372.

The young Elizabeth was close with her brother David. They were fun loving and together they enjoy dressing up for dancing lessons. The Strathmore's first daughter had died so their new little girl was especially adored. With 8 older brothers and sisters not surprising, Elizabeth was the apple of her mother's eye. She was very closed with her mother. Elizabeth grew into a gentle young woman with a gentle manner. She was very petite and short with a heart shape face and beautiful blue eyes.

The first world war broke out in August 1914 on Elizabeth's 14th birthday. King George V lead the British war effort by example as well as by position. He was photograph visiting the treasonous in France, the news from the front was gloomy. Back in Scotland at Gloms castle, the Strathmore family open their home to wounded officers. The young Elizabeth was always there to make them feel comfortable.  After that, the officers would write to Elizabeth, always caring and considerate, she took time to reply. When she spoke to you it was if you were the only person in the world.

King George V and Queen Mary had 6 children. He believed fear will govern his offspring, who were terrified of him. The young princes had a sister, Mary, the only daughter of the King and Queen. During the first world war, she worked as a nurse, she remains closed to her mother for the rest of her life. Through her involvement with the guild guy movement, Princess Mary met the teenage Elizabeth who was also a guild guy. It was through this connection that Elizabeth was introduced into the royal family. Elizabeth and Princess Mary were friends, and they became more involved guild guys and Elizabeth ran the forthum brunch to the guild guy. And Princess Mary had to inspect it and they used that as an excuse to see each other. They became quite good friends, they corresponded and of course both mothers encouraged it. Elizabeth was one of 10 children and basically, they needed to find sortable marriage for her.
