After the encounter at school, I went straight to work. As I walked in my boss rolled his eyes at me and handed me a form.

"Late again" he sighed.

"I know. I'm sorry sir" I said aware of being late, as usual.

I took the form looking through who the man was on the paper. I work as a detective with the police but I'm always at my desk, I don't really like being out in the field. I spend my time in my office analysing the targets, giving out orders on arrests, find the criminals and blah blah blah. I could go an arrest the criminals myself, but I just don't want to risk my life anymore because I have Kai.

I went straight to my office and started reading the file, started gathering as much information on him that I could. He was a drug dealer for a wealthy rich man, it's not that its illegal but he's also using teenage boys to transport his drugs and when they get caught or want to back out, he is murdering them, now that's a crime.

I found his address, job placement, phone number, close friends, family and everything about him, it only took about 10 minutes to gather all of the information before I needed to send it back to the officers.

As I was going to give it to the officers my boss walked in and sat in front of me on the other side of my desk. He takes a huge breath and sighs, odd behaviour.

"Who was the man you were with yesterday?" boss asked me.

He knows barely anything about my personal life, we don't speak about that sort of things often. And why does he want to know who Rindou is?

"A friend" I smiled.

"Just a friend? You seem close how you were hanging onto his arm, brought him home so that your son was even hugging him" my boss said.

"Did you follow me home? That's an invasion of my privacy" I said shocked.

"I did what I had to" he shrugs.

What he had to? Its definitely not following an employee home, that's not natural. And once again he gave me another file, a thicker one this time.

"Check it out and change your company, I am far better company then him" my boss smirked as he walked out.

I open up the file to see Rindou and the rest of the guys I had seen last night. All their names, ages, pictures, phone numbers. Why are they targets?

I read on and find out there involved with drugs, gangs, murder and many other criminal activities. I was aware that Rindou was in a gang, about the drugs and everything else, I never found it scary either.

I rolled my eyes and closed the file. This really shouldn't be my problem, he's my friend. He tells me everything I know about it all, but targets? That seems far.

I left my office to find my boss to ask him about it. Surely, he can tell me why. I go to his office but he wasn't there, I search the whole building but he's nowhere to be seen. Finally, I go to reception and ask the front desk where he is.

"Sorry to disturb you, but do you know where Mr Tomihiro is? Could you page him to my office?" I asked the front desk lady.

"Detective Hana, he left a few minutes ago. He said he will be back in an hour, I will page him then" she smiled.

"Thanks" I smiled.

She nods er head and I go back to my office. I guess I can work on other targets till I know why Rindou and his friends. I can't be some kind of spy amongst them, Rindou knows me too well and will spot that I'm up to something.

I sit down staring at Rindou's picture in the file before I heard a knock on the door and put the file down. I tell the person to come in to see my boss and the owner of this building, this section of the police walk in. I was in shocked, at loss of words but I can't let that emotion show.

"Sit down, I wanted to discuss something" I smiled at my boss.

"If this is about that file earlier, we only want you to spy amongst them, see what links or involvement they have with big companies" boss smiled.

"Well, the thing is I can't spy amongst them, they will see right through me" I sighed gently.

"There is a reason you work here, our best detective. If you're unwilling to cooperate, then you should just leave" the owner spoke with a sharp stern voice.

"I understand but I've known him for years, he will see right through me, he will know what I'm doing" I sighed, speaking about Rindou.

"Then pretended like you're not doing anything, we will just ask about them as if we too are friends" boss smiled sheepishly.

"I'll try my best" I sighed, slouching in my chair.

"A lady should sit up" the owner spoke and then left.

My boss followed him out my office. I felt like crying now, I don't want to do this mission. I check the time and realise I have to go and get Rindou, well get my keys first. I pick up my things along with the file and head down the stairs to leave the building.

On my way out the owner stopped me from leaving by grabbing my arm and pulling me into a dark room on my own with him. I yelped with shock as he pulled me and covered my mouth so I wouldn't scream.

The room we were in was the storage room, it was tiny, it barley fits one person in let alone two. I felt his body pressing against mine, his body heat all over me. This was far too close for a professional relationship of an employee and employer.

"Relax I just want to talk" he whispered to me.

I can't even see his face, but I know it's close from feelings his breathe touch me as he spoke. His whispers were like screams to me. I can only hope he speaks again so I can get this over with and leave, I have places to be.
