Black Water is a man who was born with not so great living conditions as he was growing up, but he is a great person. Ever since he was a little boy, he had wanted to help people. No, he doesn't necessarily have a cool superpower like he wanted when he was little, but he does have a good power and he can still experience real world problems. He was obsessed with superheroes as a child, he wanted to become one when he got older, "I want to be a superhero! Like Superman!" he said to a teacher, when asked what he wanted to be, on career day, the teacher snickered at the answer. When he got to his teens he became a huge "nerd" as people would say, and he is working at a restaurant, since becoming a "superhero" is impossible. People kept telling him that what he wanted to become was unrealistic and dumb. This teen boy's real name is Jackie Kings, he wants to be called "Black Water." Black Water is his "Super Name," but in the meantime his name is his name given to him at birth, and it always will be, at least that is what he believes now.
This boy wants to become a cop when he graduates high school and he wants powers like regeneration, eternal life, or heat vision, but then again those are unrealistic goals. Jackie is in the 12th grade, in high school, and he is looking for colleges to get into that deal with law and becoming a cop. He only wanted to help people. One day, Jackie was driving to school, he realized that his gas tank was extremely low, so she stopped at a gas station to refill his gas tank. As he was paying the $40 for the gas a guy came into the store, he was wearing all black and a ski mask to hide what his identity was. All Jackie could see of the guy was his eyes, arms and hands. The clerk and Jackie froze in place when the guy pulled out a 12 gauge shotgun, and pointed it at the two men.
The clerk pressed the emergency button under the table without the masked man noticing what he was doing. Jackie tried to calm the armed man, but the man aimed the gun at Jackie and started yelling at him. The masked man was frantic, sweating, his hands were trembling, and his fingers were a few centimeters away from the trigger. Then Jackie inches closer to the man, but stops when he yells again, the man is now pointing the gun directly at Jackie, and that's when Jackie's memories of his childhood come flooding into his mind. Jackie remembers everything, including the reason why he wants to help others.
The boy as a child was abused, beaten by his father, his mother was always trying to help him, but she would end up getting hurt instead. His mother became depressed, she was pregnant again, father didn't know. When the mother was trying to tell the father that she was pregnant, he cut her off and told her to leave before she could actually tell him anything. They had a daughter, she was very beautiful, she had a boyfriend who loved her very much, and she was pregnant with that boy's child. The boyfriend wasn't going to leave her, he wanted her to have the baby and she did. Though after the baby was born she gave the baby to the boyfriend and his parents, because she knew that the baby wasn't going to be okay in her house. The sister killed herself a few days after her baby was born. The girl had made a note that told the brother, mother, boyfriend, and the parents of the boyfriend, that they were to keep the baby until her brother was old enough to help take care of the baby. Jackie was 8 when this happened, his sister was 16 when she died, she couldn't handle the abuse, and this was a lot for a little 8 year old boy to handle.
Jackie's mom was killed by his father, she was on the stairs, about to walk down, when the father storms up the stairs because of a reason someone made up to try to make him jealous because that person liked the mother but she didn't like him, so the father started yelling at the mother and accused her of things that weren't true, then he pushed the woman down the steps. As she tumbled down the steps, her neck snapped. She didn't die instantly, but she did die quickly. The baby she was carrying inside her died instantly though. A sad loss, yes, but a better way for it to not ever meet the horrible life it would've had. The mother was already planning to kill herself on that same day. Jackie found his mother's suicide note on her bed, the note told him how she was pregnant, and how she had loved his sister and him. The note also told how she was planning to end her life with the unborn child because she didn't want that baby to be born in a horrible house, if she did have the baby she wouldn't have let the baby be out of her sight. The father was taken to jail and sentenced to life in prison, without the possibility of parole.
