The Florist

I

The day has finally come. The day that Mina has been dreaming of. Her wedding day. Today she will become Mrs. Lee.

"How are you feeling sweetheart? Are you nervous?" Mina's mother, Sachiko asked as they were preparing for the wedding.

"I'm fine mom, I'm really excited. I can't wait to be Mrs. Lee." Mina replied.

Sachiko placed her hand on Mina's then smiled. "I'm so glad to see you finally get to this stage of life. I've been waiting for this day."

Mina's father Akira then, went to see his daughter getting ready for the biggest day of her life. "I can't believe that my daughter has become such a wonderful woman." Akira tearingly said.

All of Mina's friends and family were gathered. She couldn't ask for such a more perfect day.

"Come on now, we don't want my sister to be late for her own wedding don't we? Let's go to the church!" Akari, Mina's 10 year old younger sister said.

When Nayeon arrives at the flower shop, she was instantly greeted by her friend and co-worker Jeongyeon.

"You're late again. Even if you are the owner of this flower shop, doesn't mean you have a free pass of being late." Jeongyeon said as she was annoyed at Nayeon.

"What's the job this time?" Nayeon sighed as she asked.

"A wedding."

"Are they a lovely couple?"

"Hmm, haven't really met them yet. The mother was the one who inquired in your shop."

"It's always the mother isn't it?" Nayeon laughingly said.

"Yup. Now, come with me, we'll need to set up flowers at the church."

"Alright, let's go."

Nayeon and Jeongyeon then rode the van filled with beautiful flowers as they go to the church.

As Nayeon and Jeongyeon arrive at the church, they set up the flowers beautifully. As they were finished setting up, Jeongyeon went back to the van. Nayeon saw the groom and his best man, she decides to approach him.

"Hey." Nayeon smilingly said.

"Oh hey." The groom said.

"You're Jeno right? The groom?"

"Oh yeah. That's me. While this guy beside me is Mingyu, my best man."

"Hello there gorgeous lady." Mingyu said as he winked at Nayeon.

Nayeon smiled awkwardly "Oh hello. My friend and I did the flowers."

"Oh you did it beautifully, right Mingyu?"

"Oh yes, it is perfect." Mingyu said while smiling.

Nayeon smiled as she said thanks.

Mina and her family finally arrives at the church. Nayeon, Jeno and Mingyu were talking when Akari came to ask Jeno something.

"Hey brother, I wanna ask you something." Akari said to Jeno.

"Sure, what is it?"

"What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?"

"Ah I don't really know." Jeno said as he scratches his head.

Nayeon who seemed to heard what Akari was asking answered her. "It never happens. If there's a thing that can't be stopped... It's not possible for there to be something else which can't be moved, and vice versa. They both can't exist. You see, it's a trick question."

Akari then drags Nayeon and then asks her mother if she can sit with her. Sachiko then said yes but warns Nayeon as Akari is a child filled with a lot of questions.

"So... What am I doing here?" Nayeon asks Akari.

"Do fishes sleep? And when they do, what time do they sleep?" Akark asks Nayeon.

"She's a handful isn't she?" Sachiko laughingly said.

"She sure is." Nayeon said, also laughing. "Well my name is Nayeon. How about you? What's your name?"

"Oh hello Nayeon! My name is Akari. My sister is the bride." Akari proudly said. "Isn't brother so handsome?"

Nayeon smiles and nod. Akari then bombarded Nayeon with a lot of more questions.

While waiting for the ceremony to start, Jeno and Mingyu were talking.

"I like the florist." Mingyu said.

"I'm sure you do." Jeno laughingly replied.

"I think she likes me too. What do you think?"

"Come on now, it's my wedding day. Can we talk about me for now?"

"Oh, yeah sure." Mingyu noddingly replies. "But what do you think? I really think she likes me."

"Let's talk about that some other time. Let's go to the altar now. My wedding is starting."

The wedding is now starting. Sachiko walked to the aisle followed by Jeno, the groomsmen, bridesmaids, flower girls and the ring bearer.

"Okay then, since the wedding is starting, I'm gonna go and set up the flowers for the reception. See you later kid." Nayeon said to Akari then went outside where Jeongyeon was waiting for her inside the van.

Mina now walks to the aisle with her father. She's wearing a beautiful white dress that hugged her curves in all the right places. The setting was beautiful, with tall glass windows that reflected the sunlight, making it seem like the sun was peeking through them.

"Welcome to the union that God has made. We have here today Mina Myoui and Jeno Lee as they engage to their new chapter of their lives." The priest said. "May God continue to bless your journey together. Who is ready to celebrate this new beginning?"

Everyone in the room started to clap. The priest then said, "Do you Mina Myoui, take Jeno Lee to be your husband?"

"I do." Mina said while smiling.

"And do you Jeno Lee, take Mina Myoui to be your wife?"

"Yes, I do." Jeno smilingly said.

"Then by the power vested in me by our Lord God, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss."

Mina and Jeno then kissed each other. When the kiss was over Mina whispers to Jeno, "Come on now, you're getting me all emotional."

The priest then announced, "Mina Myoui and Jeno Lee are now married. May your marriage be as loving, strong and fruitful as God intended. Have a beautiful life together. God bless you."

They were then joined by their guests and family as they were finally done with their wedding.
