The World Beyond

The Beginning

"Skyyyyyyy!!!" a distant voice called....

"Huh?" Skylar said sweating profusely, waking up. "Sky? Are you there?" it kept on saying. Skylar had been hearing that for a few days already. "What is wrong with me? Am I  going crazy?" Skylar mumbled, feeling restless." Nevermind, I must be dreaming. OH NO IT'S LATEEE!!!!!" Skylar yelled looking at her watch.

Skylar finally reached school, luckily, she had  not been late! During break time, Skylar told Latte, her childhood friend what had happened. " Nah, you aren't crazy gurl, you must be dreaming. You always complained to me about this, it's been days! I am getting bored of this, maybe... we can go to you favourite nearby forest to clam down your mind?" Latte suggested

        " Ye, sure I guess... I will ask my mum. I guess I must have been going cuckoo from all the exams lately." Skylar mumbled, nodding her head quietly.

  After school, Skylar made a beeline for her house. She dashed in and shouted, "MUMMMMM!!!" Skylar's mother was making some snacks for Skylar. "What is the problem sweetie?"

  "Can I go out for a walk with Latte? Pretty please?" Skylar begged. Skylar's mother nodded, " Sure, but you must be back by 7 for dinner alright? You wanna share your snack with Latte? I can also make one for her."

 "Sure mum. Thanks! I will go get changed." Skylar exclaimed excitedly. After getting changed, Skylar dashed off to Latte's  house.

     "Latte! Are you coming or not? If your not, I will take your snack that my mum made for you! Hurry or I will eat it!" Skylar yelled outside of Latte's house. Latte always loved Skylar's mum homemade snacks. "Coming Skylar! Don't you dare eat my share! If you do, I will chase you out of the town myself!" Latte yelled from her room.

  After Latte came out of her house, Skylar and Latte dashed to the mall to get ice cream latte, their childhood favourite drink and then, they walked to the forest they named: The living wood where they first meet. 

   After walking about in the forest for about an hour, Latte discovered a nice cozy cave full of flowers, moss and it was very nice and comfortable to sit or lie down on the moss. So, Latte called Skylar over and they decided to make it their very own secret cave. Skylar also discovered a  lake with a waterfall behind the cave. " It's so cozy that I don't even wanna leave!" wailed Skylar. 

  "Oh come on Skylar don't be a baby!" Latte yelled from behind the cave. "EKKKK! Help me Skylar ! I think I am stuck!"

         "I am coming to save you Latte! Wait for me I am coming!" Skylar yelled frantically, dashing to the back of the cave. After she helped Latte, they both decided to explore the cave more as both liked adventure stories and always wanted to go on an adventure themselves too.
