"you look cute," johnny teased, as mark walked into the lounge wearing his sanrio pyjamas. the boy was half asleep, as they'd had a long day, and they'd just arrived home from practice, "go to bed, mark."
"i gotta wait for hyuck.." he mumbled, falling onto the couch and shutting his eyes as he curled up into a ball. these pyjamas were so comfy, even if the pink colour and design gave him a small amount of shame.
"where is he?" johnny asked, sitting next to the tired boy. he wasn't tired, as he usually didnt sleep until late, so he was in charge of making sure the younger members got to bed most nights, "because you're gonna be asleep any second now."
"he went to chenle's to drop stuff off. he wont be long.." the canadian explained, as johnny played with his light blue hair.
mark loved when johnny took care of him like this, although he'd never admit it. his affection helped him stay awake, as he knew he'd fall asleep, and have to go to bed without donghyuck.
"text hyuck, ask how long he's gonna be," johnny told him, as he yawned, "you shouldn't wait for him if he's gonna be back late, mark. you're practically asleep already."
with a gentle groan, mark sat up and opened his phone.
mark: donghyuck
donghyuck: hi baby
mark: gay
mark: how long are you gonna be. i'm sleepy i want to go to bed.
donghyuck: hm
donghyuck: 30 mins?
mark: ughhhhh 🙄
donghyuck: go to bed!!
mark: my eyes r literally shutting as i type this
donghyuck: go to bed then stupid im not stopping you
mark: oh but you quite literally are
donghyuck: go to bed mark i'll be there when you wake up i promise!!!!!
mark: i want to go to sleep with you :(
donghyuck: go up to bed atleast i'll be quick okay?
donghyuck: like i will literally run
mark: promise?
donghyuck: promise

"he's asleep," johnny laughed, as donghyuck entered the dorm quietly. he rolled his eyes with a laugh too, putting his bags on the floor, planning on moving them in the morning, "out like a light."
the boy had fallen asleep on the sofa. although johnny didnt want him to do that, he knew it was pretty much inevitable considering how tired the boy was.
"i'll go get changed then take him up," donghyuck nodded, "you can go to bed now, hyung.."
johnny nodded, ruffling the sleeping boy's hair before standing up and heading for his room, "oh, by the way, mark is head over heels for you. borderline obsessed, it's cute."
"oh, i know," donghyuck giggled, "goodnight!"
"night, hyuck."

donghyuck got changed into his pyjamas, matching with mark. he kept the top open, as their bedroom tends to get warm at night, and he didn't want to sweat.
he rocked mark gently, waking him up, "melk~" he spoke, softly using a nickname he'd made up for the boy. mark stirred in his sleep, his eyes moving, but he didn't wake.
he was already in deep sleep, which donghyuck didn't mind. he was happy the boy was getting rest.
mark was the type to overwork himself, and usually refuse rest and sleep until he needed it, and would completely crash.
this isnt the worst, so he was glad the boy was getting sleep before it got bad.
he gently put his arm under mark's legs, and the other one holding his back, and lifted him up bridal style off of the couch. he let his head rest on his shoulder, making sure he had enough grip on him that he didn't drop him, before making his way to the bedroom, which luckily wasn't too far.
placing the boy on the bed, he grabbed his stuff from the lounge, shutting the doors and turning off all of the lights behind him.
"hey, mark," donghyuck spoke in a low tone, pushing the hair out of mark's forehead, "wake up for me."
"wha-mm... ph-" mark whined, his eyes opening to see donghyuck smiling, which made him tiredly smile too, "hi."
"hey," he replied, "you can go to sleep again, i just wanted to make sure you weren't too hot."
"mmph-" mark stretched like a kitten, rubbing his eyes before making a disgusted face, "m' sweating."
"take the shirt off," donghyuck told him, taking his off fully too, "then come here n' we can sleep."
and mark did just that. strangely quickly, as he was suddenly laid in donghyuck's arms, safe on his chest.
"these pyjamas are gay," mark giggled to himself, as donghyuck shook his head, stroking the boy's hair, "you're gay"
"mm.. we look cute when we match. we should do it more," donghyuck spoke quietly, as mark zoned back off to sleep. his stomach filled with butterflies as he felt the older's body relax, as his hands fell down to the waistband of the pyjama pants, "you're sleeping now?"
"mm.."
"alright, goodnight," he smiled, kissing the boy's head, "i love you."
