A/N :Slight mentions of swearing

"Are you mad? Or just stupid?" Crowley questioned and you know the tone. You know the man. Actually, you know the demon. The questions and the rage in his eyes weren't aimed at you.

You were kneeling in the middle of the gravel road with your arms tied behind your back and a silk tie around your mouth. The tie that was knotted nicely around the neck of the handsome man who only hours ago brought you your favorite drink at the local bar, but now stood beside you. You look up at the man and realized he was an idiot. How could you be so stupid?

How could you be so stupid? Better question was how did he manage to get the upper hand? You are a hunter! You hunt supernatural beings for a living. A thankless, payless job that you used to love, but more recently found it monotonous. Even though it was the same thing over and over, vampire, werewolf, Wendigo, vengeful spirit. The thought of doing something else turned your stomach. Would you ever leave the job, No Never!

"Untie her now!" Crowley snapped his eyes darting to mine quickly, but then back to the idiot, whose name was James.

"I thought-"

"No!" Snapped Crowley, interrupting James with his gravelly deep voice "That's your problem, you didn't think." His eyes didn't move from James as he asked for me to be untied once again.

"But the text said-"

Once again Crowley cut off James's words "Idiot!" he snapped "Why do you idiots think you know it all when you read some text?" he muttered under his breath, but loud enough for us to hear. "Did you read the whole text?" his voice sounding frustrated.

"Of course, I did!" James's voice slightly cracking as he spoke.

The look of disbelief flashed across Crowley's face. It was subtle and I only caught it because I had been so close with him. Those who didn't know probably wouldn't have even noticed the slight change. "I know you didn't because otherwise you would know you can't sell someone else's soul to get what you want, it has to be your soul, Moron!" he yelled the last word, and it brought back so many memories for me.

I had flashbacks of sitting with Crowley in Hell as he ruled over his minions with the same wariness. It wasn't easy to love the King of Hell, but as it turned out, I didn't love him in the end. He was much easier to leave than I ever thought he would have been. Our relationship was one that was hot and heavy and short lived. I think we both knew it was over, but I managed to talk myself into staying a lot longer than I should have.

James didn't move. He looked down at me, but quickly back at Crowley "Come on. You can't tell me it really matters who's soul you get, as long as-"

"If I were you, I wouldn't finish that sentence" Crowley's eyes went dark, and I knew the demon was coming out to play and James wouldn't last two seconds against him.

James knew it too because as soon as Crowley took one step closer James lent down and untied the rope around my wrist, letting it fall to the ground.

I moved fast, reaching up and pulling off the tie from around my mouth and standing up beside James. I swung my right fist and connected with his jaw "You bastard!" I yelled with all the hatred I had left.

James recoiled from the blow, almost loosing his balance, but managed to stay on his feet. I heard a slight chuckle come from Crowley and knew that he was once again being entertained by my violent outburst.

I shoved the silk tie against James's chest and screamed at him to leave. He stood staring at me. I didn't worry that he was going to hit me back. I was worried he was coming up with some other plan to convince Crowley. Not that it would work.

Deciding it was better if he wasn't' there, James turned and staggered away. I watched him until he was some distance from us then turned my attention back to Crowley.

During my distraction with James Crowley had moved closer to me and we now stood inches apart.

"Hello Darling!" the familiar voice sent the same pleasurable wave down my spine but didn't have the same effect as it once would have. Even with his face so close that I could fell his breath across my cheek he didn't have the same hold over me.

"Hello" I looked into his eyes and said "Thank you" I didn't want to say it, but I had no choice.

His eyes twinkled with a familiar glare that I didn't ever want to see again as he said "It's always a pleasure. Anytime" he grabbed both my hands in his and before I could pull away his lips were kissing my knuckles.

"Hey! Get away from her!" the deep gravelly voice carried anger as it was yelled at Crowley.

I pulled my hands free from Crowley's grasp and turned to see my current boyfriend Dean Winchester running towards us.
