It was time for the ball at Lay Toya Jackson's house
Erica and Selena went downstairs wearing their fancy dresses when Sophia was sweeping the floor.
"Oh girls, you look beautiful and I bet Prince Jackson will definitely be in love with you" said the stepmother.
"I thought Prince has a girlfriend" said Erica
"Not anymore, she broke up with him, poor Prince, I bet he'll choose me" said Selena
"No me" said Erica
"No me" said Selena
They fight and the stepmother said "girls, girls it doesn't matter who Prince choose but I bet he'll choose one of you, now let's go oh Sophia, maybe you can come too"
Sophia was surprised and said "you really think so stepmother?"
Stepmother and the stepsisters looked at each other and then they laughed
"You thought I was serious huh, you can't go to the ball looking that, now do all the chores you need to do" said the stepmother
They left, the door was shut and Sophia did all of her chores.
After that she ran into the backyard, at the bench, she put her head and her arms on it and started to cry.
