Rayne Monroe Shepherd has had a challenging life.
Her mother gave her up for adoption at five, and the Shepherds took her in. But Rayne always didn't feel like she belonged. She always thought about her birth mother and didn't understand why she gave her up. But after a while, Rayne accepted that maybe she wasn't good enough for her birth mother. She felt she didn't fit in with the Shepherds no matter how hard she tried.
At twenty-one, Rayne's brother's marriage falls apart, and he leaves New York for Seattle. She was sad to see her brother go but knew he needed to get away, a feeling Rayne knew all too well. Rayne was beginning her surgical intern year and could feel the pressure and expectations of being a Shepherd. So she put in a transfer from New York to Seattle Grace Hospital to start on her own. It was a surprise when Rayne found her brother at Seattle Grace with his ex-wife not too far behind.
It takes a little while for Rayne to get used to life at Seattle Grace and the friends that she made. But it didn't last before Rayne and her fellow interns will have to deal with the consequences of their actions.
From the fatal surgeries and drama, there is a lot Rayne is in for before her first intern year is over.
As she moves through her residence, new friends and her past will emerge, threatening the life she is trying to build.
Soon a familiar face from New York will arrive in Seattle and change everything.
Mark Sloan comes, and it doesn't take long for Derek to show his displeasure at his ex-best friend. When he leaves, Rayne expects that the last that she will see of Mark, but she is wrong. Soon Mark Sloan has a permanent place at Seattle Grace, much to certain people's disapproval.
As Rayne's residency picks up in Seattle, Grace, Raelynn will have a lot on her plate as she tries to become a brilliant surgeon. From the drama with her fellow interns to family drama, Rayne is in for a ride. But can Rayne survive her residency, or will it all come crashing down around her?
DISCLAIMER: I do not own Grey's Anatomy or anyone from the series. I only own Rayne and other original characters I created in this story. This will follow Grey's seasons 3 through 6 loosely. I will follow the original plot of the seasons but go about it in my way as if Rayne and my original characters were in the show.
P.S: She speaks Bulgarian, so there will be some of those words here or there. I will put translations in the comments, like my charmed books and other grey books. This book is completely separate from my other Grey's Anatomy book because I love Mark Sloan and Jackson Avery, so I decided to give each their series.
