Here They Come!
Hey guys thank you for reading this new novel of mine. I started it today and it is all based on a dream I have been having for the past five hours of me being passed out on the couch. Yes I'm spending my Saturday wonderfully aren't I? Please read and comment also Vote and if anybody could tell me, how do you get a book into the Watty Awards that's my goals for this one. Thank you again and don't forget to vote. (The picture I have over in the side is what the beaming light looked like. All the stories about the trees is true like the iPod and my friends with the cops all that is 100% true.)
Chapter 1: First Happening.
It was a typical Saturday out here in the middle of nowhere. The rain was pouring all morning just so the ground could be wet and mucky for the rest of the month. It was close to around one when I finally was able to go for a walk down a road hardly any cars ever went on. It was practically a goat trail. The sky was still dark and murky and I had to hurry. You could tell it was soon going to rain again.
I put on my coat and my boots and walked out the front door. After walking a few feet out of my driveway I hit a highway. Well a Minor highway I should say. Jogging down this road about twenty feet was my first turn. I turned down this little road. On my left was a pretty old school house. It was only one room and two stories high. It was covered in yellow bricks and it was a pretty nice house.
I continued walking down this road watching all the things around me. Placed in front of me was a straight road for about forty more feet then I had the option to turn left or right. Right led back onto the highway so I planned on turning left. I went for walks all the time but today was different than normal. It was dark enough you had to have your headlights on in your car but it was only one in the afternoon.
Today was different and not like the peaceful different. This kind of different was like in a scary movie where the music would get scary and everybody would start preparing themselves for whatever was coming next. No this different was like when that dumb person in the scary movie would hear a noise and go and open whatever door it was coming from instead of just walking off and saving their slightly normal life.
After passing a farm there had been shut down for years I finally got to my left turn. Finally only one more turn tell I got to the road I needed to be on. Once on that road it was a straight away for about two miles. I didn't think I would be going that far. I remember walking down this road there was always a yellow sign that said the road was turning. This sign wasn't always there but some big scary men put it in there when I was eight. I'm fifteen now and still remember that day clearly. They put it in because some drunken guy broke into the store called "stitches" and then hauled ass down the road I was now standing on. Well instead of turning he went straight starting the whole barn on fire. In the act he burned 45 hay bales and killed three cows. He was never arrested because while the barn set up in flames he bailed out of his truck and bolted it down this same road I am on.
After that the farm was never the same so the old man just gave up and closed it. He was a nice old man every time I would walk down this road and he was outside he would wave and say hello. He always remembered my dogs and whenever he had one on hand he would always give them a treat. This was always something special to me since I had pit bulls. You know people don't really like those creatures, but to me they were beautiful animals.
Finally I had reached the yellow sign. I crossed the street I didn't like be anywhere near that thing, now on both sides of me where fields. In these fields they would grow corn, that's all they grow around here corn and hay. Now's not the right time for them so there was really technically just dirt on both sides of me with dead plants sticking up everywhere. I stopped walking for a second and decided to just sit down on the wet road. I started thinking of all the memories I had walking down this road. I remember the time I was thirteen I used to walk down this road everyday and when I passed the yellow sign I would start singing. I wanted more than anything to be a singer when I grew up and that's how I practice. I escaped from the real world and just sang. My voice never really did get any better. My songs d id though, I eventually gave up the singing and just started writing songs only to let my feelings out and get rid of all my unneeded stress.
