•Askken Calbourne Castle, Kingdom of Askken•

"Are you out of your mind father?! A war against the whole of Terralis?! What brought about this decision?!" a firm voice echoed out in anger, taken aback by the words that had left the king's mouth. Her iris purple eyes were full of shock and anger from the absurdity of the topic at hand.

Her vivid cerulean hair which slowly faded to a dark gray, with her bangs swept to its left side held by a floral clip while curled on its ends swayed back and forth as she moved her hands in a fashion of disagreement. Wearing white duster clothes with an inner color of red, its cape-like features split into two behind her as she adorned tight blue linen pants. It was clear she preferred to be able to move swiftly.

The throne room was filled with a sense of dread, silent and waited for anything to break the tension in the air. The figure stood affront his throne, sword in hand lifted into the air. His figure was of someone who has known of fighting ever since he was born, in one glance you can tell he was built to fight. It is clear that he is not a king that sits idly on his throne waiting for his subjects to come back home with victory or not come back home at all.

"I am of a clear head, Adelais. The Kingdom of Askken shall show its war prowess and strength, it will make all the nations in Terralis bow down to us, not sign a united peace treaty and act friendly!" the king exclaimed while sheathing his sword, standing tall. "But father! I do not like this idea of wa—" Adelais raised her voice in disagreement, her eyes darting out a serious stare filled with anger. "My decision is final, my daughter. By doing this we are doing Terralis a favor, in creating a world in which only those who hold power survive! And those who disagree with my orders will be convicted for treason, is this clear?!" the king in a firm deep voice.

"Understood, War King Siva!" everyone in the throne room bowed down in unified fashion as their voices echoed in praise of the king. Adelais soon followed and hesitantly bowed after "U-understood, father" she stuttered as she looked down to the floor still infuriated by his father's decision.

"Very good. Very good indeed." He sat back down, satisfied with the crowd's answer. His throne made of the finest of ashened wood, decorated in grandiosity with the most exquisite gold framing while paired with comfortable silk of red. "My first order to spark this war into flames is to strike the Kingdom of Dravurg and take over—"

As the king of Askken started to strategise his first move into the war, loud thunder roars very near the castle and everyone turned their attention to this deafening noise. Rain starts downpouring heavily as gray gas starts to creep up into the throne room coming from under the main doors.

"Is this smoke?" one of the armored guards standing by the doors starts to take notice of the gray smoke that had started to rise and cover the entire room. Adelais noticed second and then everyone else, as all started looking around in a most confused state. Soon after, they regain their senses as another thunderous roar sounds over the sky. They take a look around and notice that the doors have opened and a hooded figure stood in the middle of the room. Its figure looked ethereal as if he was one with the smoke and nobody was able to discern if this figure had a face as its hood seemed to cover up his features.

"Halt! State your name, intruder! What business do you have with the king?!" The two guards by the door point their metal bladed spears at the hazy figure who was now in the middle of the throne room, facing the king of Askken. "My name is of no importance. Your declaration of war is." it spoke in a monotone and hollow voice. The figure did not move whilst speaking, yet it was clear they were conversing with the king. "This war you are declaring on the entirety of Terralis is a mistake." the voice continued speaking.

"Is that so? Very well I shall entertain you. What do you mean this war is a mistake?" the king states as he rests his face on his hand, turned to a fist, and sits down on his throne. "This war will bring about nothing but loss of life to the entire of Terralis, including your own nation. It will prove nothing but a mistake, one which you will lose." the voice explained. "I think you do not understand the purpose of this war" the king replied in a sigh.

"What I'm doing is a favor for all of Terralis. We mow down the weak so that those who are strong will have more room to grow. In a world such as this there is no mercy for the weak and meek. It is but a game of survival and those who do not have the fangs to defend themselves or their family are just sadly unlucky. Hahahahaha!" the king chuckled at his speech of mocking the weak. "That is why I'm starting this war. This peace treaty is nothing but a nuisance to keep the poor people protected, but that's not how I do it." he continued.

"If you decide to go through with this decision, then I have no choice but to retaliate in order to keep the peace of Terralis." the figure threatened to fight. "Are you serious? Coming here to say that my war is a mistake, and now you also decide you're going to fight me in the middle of my own home? Do you realize how big my nation is, let alone my castle. You wouldn't even set a foot out of this room once you move." the king laughed at the figure's idiocy.

"I'm here for nothing but peace and that is why I will fight if you decide to continue this war. I have warned you that you will lose." the figure contested. The king had enough of the figures' idiocy and had grown bored of talking to the figure who was just repeating itself of 'keeping the peace of Terralis'. "Kill him. I have become bored of this conversation." the king ordered.

The guards started to charge for the figure as it just stood in the middle of the room. It then raised its hand towards the king, showing it is holding something, yet everyone in the room cannot identify what this object is. "I see I have failed to convince you. Consider this your warning." the figure said. Within an instant another thunderous roar from the figure's hand echoes throughout the room accompanied with a flash, which deafens and blinds everyone inside for but a moment.

The guards rushing forward for this figure catch up and swing their spears, aiming for the figure's head. Though it seems like they hit this figure it soon turns out that the figure had turned into smoke and vanished right before everyone's eyes. In an instant the room was clear again. The smoke disappeared and the main doors closed.

Everyone turned over to the king and saw that a circular hole with a burn mark on his throne had appeared and was but inches away from the king's head. "War King Siva! Are you injured? Should we chase after the intruder?" the guards knelt down in front of him. "No, forget it. It seems this person managed to sneak into the castle and not alert anyone. Clearly whoever this is knows what they're doing and is very skillful. Be sure to increase the security of our castle." the king praised his enemy, unfazed by his near-death experience.

"I am exhausted after this whole quanda. We shall talk about the start of our strategies tomorrow in the war room." the king stood up from his throne and started walking behind him to a secret door leading to his chambers as guards followed suit and closed the door. As everyone was leaving the throne room Adelais stood there in silence as she attempted to process the events that had just occurred. As she stood, a black feather fell from above and floated down in front of her face. She takes notice of this and picks it up as it falls down to the floor.

"A feather?" She asks herself as she holds it by its calamus. "I wonder who that person was... It seemed like my father knew something about him." Adelais thought to herself as she inspected the feather and decided to keep it on her.

•War King Siva's Bedchambers•

As the king sat down on his bed, he thought about today's events and his near-death experience whilst meeting with the ethereal looking figure. "It seems the legend wasn't just a myth. To think I would see him myself." the king chuckled remembering the hooded figure.

"I'm looking forward to battling with you." the king talked to himself with determination  in his eyes.

"The 'Traveler of Terralis'."
