It seemed to Jennie that Jisoo occupied her consciousness, depriving her of the opportunity to think about something else, since her image kept flashing before her eyes during those hours when she could not see the girl in reality. The elder Kim began to feel confidence in her, at least it seemed so to Jennie, and even though Jisoo still did not say a word, during their meetings she maintained emotional contact, smiled, they had a snack together or walked in the park near the hospital, on a day when it was raining, they collected puzzles presented to the younger Kim. Closer to the weekend, Jennie became more and more aware of the fact that she was falling in love, and until Sunday evening it did not frighten her at all.
The small living room was filled with calm voices and the quiet tinkling of glasses. Rose's rented apartment in the town house has now become more comfortable, because her neighbor graduated from university and safely left for another city. And even though Park now had to pay for the accommodation herself, she was glad that guests could be invited without asking permission. So today she was honoring her good friend Kim Jennie and her classmate Lalisa Manoban, who was also the girlfriend of the landlady of the apartment. The girl listened attentively to the stories of the guys about their practice, simultaneously sipping red wine from a glass. She herself had already graduated from university for a year and now taught Korean to foreigners at a language school, so listening to funny student stories from friends became something of a hobby.
-What did you say?! Fell in love with her?!- Rose exclaimed questioningly, almost choking on her drink, for which she received Manoban's liberating pats on the back.- Of course, I knew you were into girls, but Jennie... she's a psycho. It could just be dangerous.
-I agree with Rosie.- Lisa supported his girlfriend.- As a person studying with you to become a psychotherapist, I will say that falling in love with your patient...
-...is very stupid and incompetent.- Jennie finished in her place.- I know, it's just... I can't resist this feeling. I'm only twenty-three, and Jisoo... she's so beautiful.
-Let's look at it from the scientific side.- Manoban continued.- Even if you fell in love with her, she won't be able to reciprocate you, she has "psychopathy" listed in her diagnoses. Are you even sure that she can feel at least some emotions?
-But she was smiling, and I saw her crying.- Kim tried to convey her message.- So, she still has some feelings. Suddenly, the diagnosis is erroneous?
-Even so, Jennie, she's still not getting well. She's not even talking to you. And, as you said, she's been stuck in this hospital since she was twelve. While her peers were growing up, dating, falling in love, getting their first sexual experience, she was sitting there without the environment necessary for becoming a personality. After all, she is not adapted to life at all.
-I fully support Lisa's words.- Put in her Chaeyoung, and then crawled up to her friend and hugged her shoulders.- Of course, you don't have to listen to our words, but we just don't want your heart to be broken if she can't give you what you need. And most likely, she won't be able to.
-I understand, Rosie. Thank you very much.- Kim said softly.
-But if you can't get her out of your head, you should introduce me to this psychopath.- Park continued with a smile.- I have to understand why she has so fascinated you, and also make sure that she will not harm you.
Nevertheless, Jennie listened to the words of her friends, and even though she did not sleep all night from Sunday to Monday in nervous anticipation of another meeting with Jisoo, she tried to tune in to create a working cold attitude to the situation, and in the morning she felt confident, but it lasted only until that moment as she opened the door of room 312.
