See you Again (Haru x Reader)

First Meeting

~You have been always looking at him from a far. You could never ever tell him your feelings now that it has reached this point, to this point where he's just too far to reach, where you can't step to where he is now, but will in the end.~

Classes were finished and you were ready to go to your usual hangout place. The place where you mostly do your homeworks, read, study, or just relax after a long day at school. The school Garden.

It was the first time you saw him. He was crying alone beside the trees at the school garden. Walking closer and closer without your mind giving you consent for your actions. But you just stood there beside him, with your hands on his back while gently pating it and saying "I don't know the details why you are crying right now. But I wish you all the best."

He just stared blankly at you with his blue orbs. It was obvious that he was crying for a long time now since his eyes were red and puffy.
Realizing that you were talking with a complete stranger. You bowed and said "S-sorry for just barging in with your problems... I-I just can't take it when I see someone crying..." blushing profusely while waiting for his reply.

After a few seconds, the man spoke. "My girlfriend." he said while taking a breath of air before continuing. "Today was the day she went to the happiest place above." as he lowers his head back to his bent knees, trying to hold in his tears for you not to see.

Shivers spread all around your body with the single sentence that he told you. You don't know how to repond to what he said just now. As if the pain that he felt shooted right back at you.

You took a sit with him on the moist grass and leaned on the tree behind and just stared at the bright blue sky. None of you initiated to talk with each other. Both of you were just sitting there, with you looking up and him looking at the opposite.

"I bet she's now happy there. And maybe she wishes for you to be happy with life too." you finally broke the silence that lasted for a whole 5 minutes or so.

"Yeah" he replied shortly and lifted his head. "I will see my little mermaid again, soon enough. I'm sure of it." looking back at you, but this time with atleast a bit cheerful look but with an obvious pained face still showing. He stood up and thanked you for the time and care you gave just now, then asked your name.
"(y/n)." you answered him.
"Thanks again (y/n). I'm Haru. See you at school?" he smiled, gave his goodbyes and walked away from you.

You were left there sitting at the shadows beside the tree, with your mind a bit puzzled. "What did he meant by 'I will see my little mermaid again, soon enough.'?"
