Amity's pov.

4 hours.

it's hard to think about it. I can't see them anymore but instead i have to see them. Amity blight is my name but my siblings call me mittens. It's a annoying name if you ask me and quite embarrassing. Just 10 hours ago i was at white bridge , the town i used to live in . Until i've had to move all the way to a completely different place called Lockwood? It's completely gloomy and there's a bunch of kids roaming around in groups of people laughing . " Where are their parents!" my mother had said when she saw them. I couldn't respond , A half of me wanted to be one of those kids . Now i'm in a dirty mattress my mother had bought for me to sleep in . At least i have my own room.

"Mittens!" My i heard me brother edric call out.

He ran into my room with a smile . He was holding a envelope.

"What is it?" I spoke up sitting up from my mattress.

" Oh yeah! This is the school we're going too! It's called Lockwood high cool right?!" He seemed excited.

" Is it decent looking?" i replied ,i couldn't help but sigh.

" Here take it there pictures inside!" He smiled throwing the envelope at me.

I rolled my eyes and opened it as he rushed out of my room. The school looked decent enough. It looked rusty but it could do , I wonder if it has good education .

I opened my eyes in shock. What was that? I quickly stood and looked out my window . There was someone.. not not someone a girl? I quickly ran down my stairs . Opened my front door to reveal a girl i've never seen before. She was very tan and had short hair , Her eyes were hazel and she had this big smile on her face.

" Hello ! I'm luz noceda nice to meet you!" The girl spoke .

" Amity blight."I spoke my eyebrow raised .

" Are you one of those girl scouts ? what're you in 5th grade?" I spoke clearly annoyed.

" uhm no? I'm pretty sure i'm your age?" she spoke again with a nervous smile.

" oh really how old are you?" she surely didn't look my age she has to be younger than me.

" I'm 15" She said.

" No i'm 14!!" I shouted clearly embarrassed.

" ohh , I was so sure you were 12!" she smirked leaning against the door frame.

" Listen. I've been to everyone's house in this entire neighborhood! You see over there is billy parker's house!" She pointed towards a dark yellow house . It looked small.

" and over there is Abigail freeman's house!" She posted towards a different direction . This time it was a purple house but more rusty.

" And right there is..James millers house." she spoke her voice lower than before. The house was big and was teal it looked brand new and completely clean than all the other houses.

" And what does that have to do with me?" I spoke up snapping her out of her daze.

" oh yeah! So i've been to every house but..yours." she said her voice getting lower as she stared at me .

" So what did you just invade their house?" I said acting scared.

" What?! no no no!" She panicked.

" I've seen all of these houses being built before they were even done. My dad was a engineer so all the workers know me . Every time they put the new houses for sale they let me observe the inside of it . I guess i just really like observing."She was speaking in a really low voice . She was day dreaming again.

" wait . What does this have to do with me? haven't you seen my house before?" I was honestly confused.

" Nope. They built this house while i was in DR for summer vacation. I never got a chance to see the in side . I had just got back today and look at that they built a new house! which is yours." She smiled .

" Wait so? you want to go in my house." i said.

" Well not go in but observe it! It's still new right matty told me you guys just moved in today!" She smiled again.

" Soooo can i come in?"

" Hm nope."I said coldly .

" What?!" She shouted.

" i simply don't really want anyone in today so maybe tomorrow or next or maybe never!" I smiled slamming the door.

" Hey!" I could hear her scream from outside.

she was pretty funny . However i never really got a good look at her. She was quite pretty.

and then poof the door was slammed in my face . After i gave that entire speech to her!

" Hey!" I shouted banging on the door.

" What the hell?!" I mumbled.

I rubbed my eyes together and slowly my face formed into a smile. That turned into a soft chuckle .

" You know ! I love a challenge amity blight!" I shouted directly looking towards her window with a big smile.

That girl sure was pretty. Even though she looked like a vampire she really was gorgeous. I smiled , I jogged the way home . I needed to get home quick before the street lights go off .
