2 days later,
"I AM NOT GOING TO FUCKING EAT THAT SHIT" He yelled gritting his teeth.
"This is not shit. This is soup." I told him holding the bowl of vegetable soup. He had been throwing tantrums and refusing to eat the soup. Last two days were absolutely hectic. Sumedh had kept me under pressure with his attitude. He had been behaving like absolutely a kid not allowing the doctor to do their treatment properly, refusing to eat the nutritional food ,throwing tantrums to everybody including me and snapping at the nurses for giving him medicines. It was very tough to handle him with his restlessness and irritating behaviour.
"No, I am not going to have that fucking soup. It tastes so aweful. My taste bud can't digest it. " He glowered at me. I sighed hearing his statement. He intentionally mentioned that.
"Sumedh, I know that it tastes terrible. But you have to eat it as it's essential for your health. You have lost a huge amount of blood and you need to boost your hemoglobin. For that ,you have to eat iron rich foods." I tried explain and lifted the spoon towards his lips. Much to my dismay, he turned his face away.
"No, I am not gonna have it at any cost. I have had it twice as per your words. But not today. I will not listen to you again." He said stubbornly.
"Sumedh, you have eat it for my sake." I scowled at him.
"No" He shook his head negatively. I huffed in annoyance and put the bowl back in my lap. I now looked up to find him smiling in victory. I faked a smile and stuck my tounge out at him.
"You won't eat, right?" I asked again calmly.
"No, I won't. " This time, he replied rather slowly.
"Ok fine." I casually said.
"Aren't you gonna force me to eat it? You easily gave up." He was confused. I shook my head negatively and then smirked at him.
"No, after all it's your health. So if you don't want to have the soup, what can I do? Who am I to force you?" I faked a broad smile at him.
"Are you ok ?" He asked narrowing his eyes at me.
"Why won't I be OK? I am completely. It's you who is not OK." I twisted my lips with a slight frown. He stared at me with his lips pressing in a thin line and clasped his both hands together appearing to be anxious. I let out a sigh of exasperation.
