Wolfy Boy - Chapter 1 - The experiment

It's the last day of high school for the year. Lupo anxiously checks the clock in the classroom, counting down the seconds to summer break. Lupo is in his final year and is excited to finally be done with school and have more free time. In another classroom, his younger sister (Krissy) is also excited to be done with school. She already has plans for summer break and wants to spend lots of time with her family and friends. Lupo watches the clock and counts down the final seconds on his head.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1!

The final bell rings and all the students cheer as they hear the bell.

Summer break!!

The students gather their belongings and start leaving the classrooms and the school building. Krissy gets outside and waits for her big brother. They see each other and she runs over, almost taking him down to the ground with a big hug.

"We did it, big brother! We finally finished high school!"

Lupo smiles and giggles as his sister hugs him tightly. He hugs her back and squeezes her close to him.

"We have so much free time now to do whatever we want! We should talk with mom and plan something for all of us to do!"

Krissy and Lupo let go of each other and smiled. Lupo suddenly feels somebody place their hand on his shoulder. He turns his head and sees it is his long time friend, Garrett. Garrett looks at Lupo with excitement in his eyes.

"I have some great news about my newest experiment! I finally figured out what was wrong and wanted you to see it!"

Lupo smiles and nods, then looks at his sister.

"Go on home, sis. I gotta see what Garrett discovered then I'll be home in time for dinner, okay?"

Krissy nods and smiles at her big brother.

"Okay, big brother. I'll see you at home later!"

She smiles and waves as she starts walking home. Lupo and Garrett look at each other.

"I hope you really do have it figured out. This will change everything!"

Lupo and Garrett walk to Garrett's and go inside. Nobody else is there and they quickly go to the basement. Garrett pushes a hidden button on the book shelf and it opens a secret passage to his experimental lab. They walk down the passage and the book shelf closes behind them. They excitedly rush down to the lab. The metal walls covered in screens and all kinds of machines. In the center of the lab is a tube looking device that is big enough for someone to be inside of it. Garrett grabs a small tube that looks like it's filled with blood. He shows it to Lupo and smiles.

"I figured out the error in my previous calculations and have successfully made this. This is a modified DNA sample from a wolf. When injected, this modified DNA will mix with the hosts and create a hybrid of the host and the wolf. You will still be able to function like a human, but have the appearance of a wolf. The only thing you need to be aware of is that the wolf instincts will affect some of your behavior. You'll just need to take time to understand the instincts and you will be able to keep them under control."

Lupo watches as Garrett walks over to the large tube and inserts the small tube into it.

"This machine will take care of the rest. Are you sure you want to go through with this, Lupo? It will change your life forever and I don't know if it's possible to reverse it."

Lupo looks at Garrett and smiles.

"I'm absolutely sure, Garrett. I know this will make my life a lot different, but I'm ready."
