Yn found that after a few weeks, she was better able to manage each day in its entirety without producing tears every few hours. She thought this was more because she knew what to expect than because the workload had eased.
She worked with each of the boys individually for more than 6 hours a day depending on the schedule she was placed on which did not include the daily punishment runs she undertook with Jungkook.
However, the amount of time Yn spent with each one varied, mostly because Jin still couldn't work with her much and Namjoon and Yoongi had all but given up their careers as rappers.
„It may be that when we get a song that you have to rap even if it's only a small verse, but without practice it's very difficult." Yn took Namjoon's words to heart. But instead of practicing with them, she spent her time with the two rappers and Jin either at the end of the day, during their other classes, or tutored them in English over lunch. Jin in particular seemed very interested, and he said it's because he needs to meet Yn when she has her official introduction to ARMY.
The brunette was touched, although that wasn't particularly of him, but she didn't say anything herself. When he and Yn were together, he was more interested in speaking Korean with Nina.
She spent most of her rehearsals with Hobi in a dance studio, both working through different parts of different routines. Hobi had told her early on that the concerts they performed together would not replace any of the other seven, but would rather have their routines re-choreographed to accommodate an 8-person cast.
She would join in on the vocals. Yn had tried to look like they were normal sentences for her. Yn got used to working in front of the mirror and instead of avoiding her reflection at all costs, she focused on different parts of the body and learned to control each joint individually.
When she was able to dance Dynamite after about a month with the boys without making many mistakes, she was delighted. Though, looking at them together in the mirror was still like watching an elephant next to a swan.
On many nights the brunette broke up with Nina to be taken back to the riverside apartment, the BTS members didn't join them.
The boys had various things going on into the evening and not to reveal her identity just yet, she didn't perform with them. Yn assumed they also had a social life to talk about, so it was rare that they were all at home. Rarer still that they all spent time as a whole group. But there were often two or three there, in the kitchen or in front of the television. Sometimes they all ate together, sometimes it was a relaxed evening for everyone.
„It must have taken a long time for them to get used to each other" Yn reflected one day as she and Nina sat together in the kitchen again. The brunette felt it was important to contribute by doing the chores, as the kitchen was always in a state of chaos.
She suspected some of the boys who must have caused the chaos and thanked Nina's willingness to help. But she didn't mind. It was clear from the start how hard they all worked so she could happily do some housework for the boys. „Actually, I think it was the other way around," Nina replied, drying, stacking the plates. „They've been living together for so long, I think not that they know how to live with anyone or without each other"
The personalities that Yn experienced at work, in private lessons, were exactly the same as those at home. Namjoon and Yoongi were thoughtful and calm. Hobi and Jimin were physical and playful while Jin and Taehyung were cheerful and silly.
They were all nice to her and treated her as one would treat any foreign guest. Overly polite and accommodating but with the language barrier a constant problem so they didn't often speak directly to each other.
