It's been a week since he saved her from three vampires, Adrien kept a close eye on marinette while she was working or going home. He kept close to her every move. He wasn't like this before... He wouldn't stalk anyone unless he wanted their blood... Was he after her blood? Then why being so overprotective towards her?
Even Nino could see what was happening to his friend. Laughing and joking saying he was falling for the girl, or the birds and the bees. Adrien just rolled his eyes, disagreeing with his friend.

"Whatever." Adrien signed. "I'll forget about her."

But it was useless. Everytime he sees her at her job, he keeps a close eye on her and anyone. He overhead some wandering where April was...
Nino's eyes looks at him quickly, arching an eyebrow. Adrien just shrugged as if he wasn't interested. Which gave him the expression of what gone on that night. Adrien watched Mari from far away as she walked all they to the train station. He overhead her phone call, and decides to follow her on the train.

"Ok. Alya..." Mari said as she pushed through the rotating gate. "I'm coming."

Without a ticket, Adrien stood before the gate. A security guard sat beside the gate, keeping watch. Adrien pretended to get a ticket from his jacket, keeping the watch. As the guard turned to talk on the phone, Adrien smiled as he backed up slowly and raced up towards the gates and leaped over it. Racing towards a fork in a road, he stopped to catch his breath. He closed his eyes and exhaled. Scents all around took him off track. Until he smelt her. She was getting on the train!
He turned to the far right, racing towards the double set of stairs, he slid down the pole, until he was beside the train. The train doors closed slowly... And he jumped in.

Adrien searched around the carriage as all the young girls all look at him stunned. He glances through the small window towards the next carriage and saw her. Marinette... He watched as one man got up for her to sit. But as she was about to sit, a boy pushes her down and sat in the seat. Adrien raged in anger. She shouldn't know that he was following her. Just in case she thinks he was going to rob her... He had to play it cool... But how?
He turned to face the girls, who just messing about with their make-up and hair. Trying to catch his attention. He just gave them a nod and waited till the train or Mari to get off.

The journey was tiring and busy. Does Mari take the train home everyday like this?! Adrien signed as he got back up to look through the window. Yet again, for the twentieth time, Mari still sat, reading a book as the train rocked back and forth. He watched as she withdraw her phone. He watched when some idiot drunks started to chat her up and flirt with her. His dirty hands all over her. He couldn't take it any longer as he just stared at them. He taps the window, in hopes she doesn't look. Thankfully she didn't, and as the men looked up, Adrien's eyes turned red and his fangs grew. Growling at them as they all fall backwards in shock. Before Mari could look at what made them skittish, Adrien turned away and smiled to himself. His regular features returned and just in time to. As a mother and a child walked on the train.

Finally getting off the train, he followed her up the steps, over the gates and down the path. All in while, keeping silent. When they finally got to a park, she took out her phone to pretend to call someone and stopped quickly. He did the same.

"Hi Alya," Mari said with a knowing smile upon her face. "You didn't said anything about a bodyguard."

Adrien froze. Was he caught? No, she wouldn't know... Right?

"Then why do YOU keep following me?!" Mari's voice cut through the silence as she turned fast on her heel to see his face in pure shock. "Adrien?! Why the hell are you stalking me?!"

Busted.

"I..." Adrien began in shock.

"Yes?" Mari placed both hands on her hips in disgust.

"I'm not here to stalk you." Adrien declared softly.

"Well, you better have some good excuse!" Mari replied. "I have seen you at work, on the train and now here. If it's not stalking then what?!"

Adrien signed. How could he tell her... That he was worried about her. What it looks like... May be stalking to her... But it was for her protection. Only how can he explain about those thugs? Or the say that he couldn't stay away from her...

"I was just protecting you... After what happened that night... I didn't want it to happen again..."

Mari stayed quiet for once shocked about his reply. The way he wasn't looking in her eyes, the way his feet moved on the floor, kicking a stone around made her think if him as a shy kid.
Adrien was waiting for her to call the police, or a yell, something. But not this. Mari walked up to him and gave him a embrace. His green eyes grew in shock as his hands stayed above her shoulders. He could smell her blood, he could hear her heart and feel her warmth. He wanted to melt into her embrace. His whole body shivered as if he was hit by a gust of cold wind or adrenaline. He wanted more... But everytime he or she moved, the scent of her sweet perfumed blood made him regret it.

"What... What was that for...?" Adrien asked slowly.

"To say thanks." Mari smiled, then punched him on his arm.

"What the-"

"And that's for stalking me." Mari smiled.

Adrien walked her home in silence. As she said her goodbye and closed the door. He watched stunned. Turning back towards the park, he walked steadily down the path. That girl... is something special... His head kept saying as the events of the day came replaying in his mind. Over and over again. The hug, the smile, her touch. Then something made him stop. He felt something strange inside... As if his heart was coming back to life...
Was that the cure? Does it have to do something with Mari or was it just a coincidence? He couldn't tell for sure, but for once he returned home with a smile upon his face.
