Nice to meet you

"I'm Matt." He says. I look into his eyes and he smirks. I look at my feet. Then I look back at him for one second to say," Hi I'm Cassie Jones." I say then look back at my feet.

"Cassie come here!" Yells Liz. "I have to go see what she needs. Bye." I say awkwardly and close my window and go find Liz.

I walk down the stairs and go sit by Liz. "Hey, what'd you need?" I ask. "Oh, I was going to ask you if you could go and give this to the neighbors." She says holding out a key. "What's this to?" I ask. "Our house." She says as if she wasn't giving our neighbor the key to our house.

"Um, why the hell are we giving this to the neighbors?" I ask

"Because, he lives alone and sometimes I go out and stay with my friend Troy and if I need him to come and check on you it will be easier." She says simply.

"Who is Troy?" I ask

"That's what you got out of that? Really." She says

"Um, duh! Is he cute?"

  "Cute is underestimating it," she winks at me. "I texted him and he's coming over. Now go and give him the key." She says.

" Fine, fine." I say and walk out the door.

Matt's POV

I hear a knock on the door and run down stairs. I'm in sweats and I don't have a shirt on. I open the door and see the girl from next door. She hands me a key and says, "It's from Elizabeth." She looks at her feet and rubs her wrists. I look at her bracelets they are all from the hospital.

I was looking at her too long. "Well, I got to go Liz's friend is coming over." She says not looking up. "Is it Troy? He's over there a lot and I know him." I say. "Maybe you con come over, if you want you don't have to just if you, you know want to." She says shyly and her voice trailing off toward the end. "Sure." I say and quickly run up stairs and throw on a shirt.

Cassie's POV

Matt and I are walking to my house, and he keeps looking at me. I don't look up from my feet. I keep walking and when we make to my front door I open it and I walk in to see Liz sitting on the couch alone. I'm happy that Troy isn't here yet because I want to change out of sweats and my bro tank.

I run into my room and leave Matt with Liz. I change into camo leggings and my Army T-shirt that's grey. My dad was in the military before the cancer. I have my black Nike half calf socks and my hair in a messy bun. I run down stairs and see Troy on the couch next to Matt.

He looks at me and keeps staring at me. I look at me feet and sit on the chair across him.

"Hi, I'm Troy and you must be Cassie." She says looking me in the eyes. I get uncomfortable around new people. I look down and then take a quick look into his eyes, they are brown and so is his hair. It's not a up like Matts, its long and pushed to the side. He is wearing a flat-bill hat. He smiles at me. I look down again.

I look at Matt and he looks mad. He looks at me and then smiles. Not a smirk, but his real smile. It's really cute. Troy stands up and says, "Who's up for truth or dare?" I smile
