A/N: Before we begin, 'fairy floss' is the same as 'cotton candy' and 'candy floss', it's just how you say it in Australia.

One second passes. Two. "Wait, really?"
"Ye—"
"No," Kai interjects, "He's the faerie of dreams. Don't let his so-called 'sexiness' fool you."
Ah, that makes more sense. I narrow my eyes at Yeonjun, who still has a smug expression plastered across his handsome features. "Oi, let's start off by not lying to each other, okay?"
"You think I'm lying? It's the truth."
I have to stop my jaw from dropping. This guy and his confidence—
"Should we head down, Y/N?" Kai smiles a bit too widely at me, gesturing to the bridge near the base of the hill.
I oblige him, bypassing a frowning pink-haired male.
A moment later: "Hey, wait for me!"
While Yeonjun catches up, Kai shifts to a more serious tone, "I'm sure you're not here for fun, so let's get right to the point. What do you need help with?"
The thought of the issue makes me sober up. My chest tightens. "I... I've been having nightmares of late. It's been happening every night since my parents' death nine months ago."
The words come out calmer than I expected. Maybe it's because of Kai's gentle personality, but I feel like I can tell him all my problems.
"I see," Kai muses. "Is that why you subconsciously called Yeonjun for help?"
My brows nudge together. "I guess so? But how does that even work?"
"You wanted someone to save you," Yeonjun enunciates, appearing on my right. "I just happened to wander in people's dreams that night, so I answered." What a detailed explanation. He must have read my mind because he adds, "Don't think too hard on it. Let's focus on solving whatever this is."
We step onto a wooden bridge spanning the brook, gleeful tails of fish splashing through the water. Bees flicker above a carpet of pink, orange and magenta lilies.
"Hey, it's Yeonjun and Hueningkai! Who's that?"
A loud voice echoes from the other end of the bridge, belonging to a dark-haired faerie with balanced, pretty features. Beside him is a male whose large, defined eyes fit magically into his small face, framed by pearly white bangs. Both of them linger near the brook, waving their arms like two little boys.
"Ah, if there's anything you should know beforehand, that one there is an idiot. So is the one beside him," Yeonjun huffs, gesturing at each of them in turn. Contrary to his words, a fond smile inches its way across his face.
