"I know it's not much, but it uh.. it was used for something else a while back." Alden said as he crossed his arms over his chest, looking at the room, remembering where the weapons were.

Aleena gave a soft nod as she walked to the bed on the left, Evan tossed his backpack on the food of the bed, immediately laying down after. He was exhausted, Aleena was too, but refused to admit it in front of Alden.

She took her backpack off and slipped it onto the ground next to the bed, "The bathrooms are down to the left side, fifth door on the right. Kitchen is down the hall on the right, it's the very last door." Alden stated as he watched Aleena bounce slightly on the bed.

She looked up at him and smiled, already hearing Evan snore. A chuckle escaped her lips as she got up and walked out of the room, gently closing the door behind her.

"Thank you, I- we appreciate the kindness." She quietly relayed to him, "I find joy in those who treat others kindly without knowing who they are."

Alden gave a short chuckle as he leaned his shoulder onto the wall next to the door, Aleena doing the same on the other side.

"It's not a problem, you seem like a good person Aleena." Alden replied, he looked at the woman's face, she was something unlike he had ever seen before, "So, are you and Evan together?" He asked

Aleena looked at him, a soft smirk on her face as she replied, "Why. Wanna take me from him." She chuckled, she then shook her head, "No, he's my best friend. He's like a brother to me." She added.

He softly chuckled at her first comment, "Having someone like that is something rare. Especially with what's happening." He said, she knew exactly what he was talking about.

She nodded in response, "Yeah, but having someone close to you like that can be detrimental to one's survival; yet beneficial to one's safety." She stated, "And I'm glad I have him, because without him... I would have been lost."

Alden knew all to well the affects of loosing someone close, though, he yearned for that feeling again. To fully trust someone, besides yourself, and go through this shitty apocalypse with someone by his side.

"If you need anything, my room in four doors down," he then pointed to the left, "Knock twice, I'll know it's you." He added.

She gave a small smile and nodded, "Yeah, I'll see you around." She then walked back into her room, not after hearing him say the same.

She closed the door fully and leaned her back on it, she was definitely going through the motions of finding a handsome man, and wanting to get to know him more. She hadn't been intimate with a man since, well, she actually lost track of the time.

Evan softly growled and looked up at her, "Flirting with the enemy." He scoffed, he then laid his head back the way it was and covered his eyes with his forearm.

"Shut the fuck up." She replied, she walked back to her bed and gave a soft huff, "If we're found out, they'll be out for blood." She softly spoke as she looked down. Evan looked over at her and nodded, "If word ever slips that we're from Alexandria, our heads will be on a pike outside of this outpost." The woman added

She then decided to lay down and keep her back turned to Evan, tears built up in her eyes as she began to think of what the others would say, what they would think.

"Do you need me over there?" He asked, knowing damn well that she would have a nightmare, and that she couldn't afford to deal with that at a time like this.

After a few moments of silence, she looked over her shoulder and gave a soft nod, wiping her tears away with a quickness, not wanting him to catch her crying. A few seconds later, there was a dip in her bed behind her, followed by a pair of arms wrapping around her frame.
