Ryan's POV...
I hummed as I exited the university. The cool afternoon breeze flew past, whistling across the NYC streets. Strolling, my sneakers' soles crackle on the dry autumn leaves.
"Today was... I don't know. Well, this 'today' still is not done. I wonder why we had to go to a neighbor's house. A stranger's house, for me."
Sighing, I unlock my Mercedes-Benz E-class, and as soon as I half enter the car, I freeze, looking at the strange paper on the driver's seat. With Dark red color as if indicating blood, it was written:
Many Three-year-olds
have trouble staying within the lines
Maybe if you practice
coloring this turtle, it
will help you with your parking.-Just a friendly advice!😏🙃
Alexis
Ryan stood frozen. The wind howled past him. It seemed as if the world has been paused by someone watching a movie. When Ryan finally recovered from the shock, he angrily huffed and tore the paper away from the seat.
Starting the engine, he smiled devilishly, driving the car out of the parking lot.
"Sweet!"
Ford's Mansion... (4:03 p.m.)
Third person's POV
A girl was seen tiptoeing as if a thief in an unknown area sneakily stealing. Her white pencil heel softly thumped. A high-pitched voice commanding was heard from the kitchen clearly.
"Julie, make sure it doesn't get too salty! Goodness! It's already 4! Miss Vi, lay out the plates quickly!" Uttered Mrs. Ford worriedly.
Rolling her eyes, Alexis thought, "Gosh! It's still three more hours until the so-called guest is supposed to come! Why is mom acting so overly-dramatic? Watching her step, she almost stepped on the stairs until a voice makes her screams, then reflexively shut her mouth with her hands.
"Welcome back, Elder Miss Ford." Standing on her left, 5 feet from her, stood Butler Jim.
Oh, it's you! Phew!" Alexis dramatically wiped her forehead with the back of her hand as if indicating to wipe sweat. Nodding she stated in a hushed voice, "Sorry for my unexpected reaction, and don't tell my mom that I..."
"Not to tell me what?!
Turning 180°, and rolling her eyes secretly, Alexis thought, "Is she an alien? Wasn't she in the kitchen few seconds ago?"
ALEXIS FORD! What do you think is the time? YOU ARRIVED HOME LATE!" Shouted Mrs. Ford with a spatula in her right hand and the other hand on her hip.
"Mom, it's just 3 minutes!" Stated Alexis exasperatedly.
"Shameless girl, don't even value the 3 minutes! GO, and get changed!" Shouted Mrs. Ford.
"Aye-Aye, Captain Mrs. Laura Swift Ford!" Giggling Alexis ran up the stairs to her room.
"Teenagers these days..." Sighing, Mrs. Ford went back to the kitchen.
#Author's Note: I deeply apologize to my readers! I have been busy lately with my school work these past months. How's the chapter? What do you think of Mrs. Ford's Character?
