"Hi?" Alexander and Diandra both greet in an awkward way.
They look like they know something about me and that something is annoying. They both have been acting weird lately and they seem to enjoy disappearing together. It's really weird considering they wanted to murder each other a few days ago.
"What?" I give them a bored look and roll my eyes. They seem to have mastered the skill of annoying me.
"Don't do that!" Alexander growls, he is really bossy. I have doubts with some of the rumours about him but others I do not have to think twice to know he did that.
Over the past days I have been couped up in this kingdom, surrounded by lycans who are always ready to kill me. It's crazy how they will accept a hybrid witch/warlock and hate me. I am more like them, they should like me. I am beginning to think there is more to their hate than my mind can get around. I need to find out the beef they have on Werewolves.
The lycan kingdom participates in global trade, including hiring employees from different species, I have just learnt about this. What is not adding up is why is there no werewolf working here and why is there no trade between the Werewolves and lycans?
"I will roll my eyes as much as I want to . Why are you two here?" They both growl. Their growls are annoying but Artina seems to enjoy it when her mates growl. Which brings me to another things I should look in to. Why is a witch/warlock growling? The two do not growl!
"There's something we need to tell you." I keep quite and look at Diandra hoping he will get the signal and keep talking, which he does.
"It's about your powers. I know you think you do not have but you do." I look blankly at him. I am blank, what is he on about?
"What do you see in my eyes?" Diandra asks. I decide to go with the flow and look deep into his eyes and I see it.
"A green beautiful field with nicely cut grass and long pine trees. There's a butterfly or half butterfly stuck in it's cocoon. Only the head and front wings are out..."
"Okay you stop." Diandra stops me from continuing and Alexander chuckles.
I have this weird way of seeing things when I look into people's eyes. This is why I was trained to become an Oracle but I failed. My mother insisted in me going back to training because the only reason everyone ever had about my problem was that I am an Oracle.
It is a very distress to be able to see all these things I see on people's eyes. It is as if I connect with them and all their emotions become mine. Just like Aaron in the field, I felt his emotions. He was sad and lonely drowning in that icy lake
"What do you see in his eyes?" Diandra points at Alexander and Alexander quickly shuts his eyes and shake his head no.
"No. Not me." Alexander refuse and stands up from the edge of the bed. The bed lifted up a bit, that's how heavy he is but even so I still imagine him on top of me. 'Shut up Artina!' I know it's her thinking all that not me.
"I have seen your eyes before. A deserted island with a dying camel."
"What!?" Alexander turns abruptly, his eyes shoot dangers at me. Diandra on the other hand laughs his lungs out.
"A calm ocean at glimpse. If you look at it from a far you may think it is not moving at all but once you look deep into it, fishes dance to the rhythm of waves colliding into a melodious sound. Calm and fiery at the same time."
That's true, that's what I see in the eyes of this so called brutal King. The first thing I said was just to get him to look at me and it worked.
"I liked the dying camel more." Diandra clicks his tongue. I think they are back to wanting to kill each other, judging from the way Alexander glare at him and extend hid fangs.
