Y/N Pov:

I checked my phone it read 1:54 AM. "Jesus," I thought to myself, I promised I wouldn't stay past midnight.

I usually loved to party but I decided to not do it for so long as every morning I woke up and wanted to die. So I gave myself a curfew, did it work? No, but oh well.

I decided to take a break and step outside into the smoking area, I don't smoke but it's the quietest place in the whole bar. I sat on a bench closest to the door and just collected all my thoughts, we had just won a match against the USA 2-1. Although it was friendly it still felt so good as they were the world champions, I was so proud of how far this team has come from winning the euros and almost immediately winning against the champions of the world.

But there was someone we couldn't have done it without, and that was Leah, she made sure before every match we had the right motivation to go and win.

Just as I was thinking about her I hear the door open and close, I look behind me and there she is. Captain Willamson.

"Mind if I join you?" She says coming over to me. "No, come on sit," she sits next to me it's a bit awkward until she starts a conversation, "how come you're not inside?" She turned towards me, and our bodies were almost touching, I move my knee so it was touching hers slightly. I see her jitter and I answered "It got a bit loud and I was thinking of leaving."

It was then I started shivering the breeze of the air finally hit me. "I could walk you home if you like?" She glances into my eyes, "I would like that." I smiled warmly.

"But before we go you seem freezing, do you want my jacket?"
She suddenly stands breaking our contact, "um, no it's fine I'm not cold."

"Y/N you look freezing take it unless you are cold and just scared of jackets?" She looks at me laughing. I give her a stern look "of course I'm not scared of jackets."

She chucks her jacket at me and I flinch not expecting her to. "Hah knew it," Leah says laughing. "Shut up," I say and put it on.

We walk back into the bar to say goodbye to everyone. Then we leave and walk down the street with our hands almost touching. Eventually, I finally picked up the courage to interlock our hands. She gazes into my eyes again. We finally make it to our hotel.

"Are you sure you just walked with me to take me home or were you just tired?" I say to her smiling, she chuckled slightly, "as much as I am tired I will always walk you home, always."

I grinned at her she smiled back it was as if she was a kid on Christmas that got all she wanted.

"Thank you, Leah." I give her a warm smile. "Anytime," she gives me one back. "Is it alright if I ask you a question?" "Of course," I say to her."Can I kiss you?" She asks, "always."
