*Y/N's POV*

I watched with great interest as the man in front of me shuffled his cards. Placing them with such care, I couldn't imagine him being apart of the worst generation captains.

I've sailed the new world by myself for a few months and am in dire need of a crew. I learned at a young age how insanely lucky of a person I am, so I decided to sail out to sea to test my luck on a much larger scale.

Always managing to just barely miss a storm or finding free food. Coming across kind people who have offered this poor soul money. Yes, I'm very lucky and that's a huge part of why I've made it this far by myself, but I'm also pretty strong.

My bounty is 100,000 berries, L/N "Rabbits Foot" Y/N. The government themselves even know of my good fortune, but I'm also extremely skilled in martial arts. I have really good armament and mediocre observation, but I'm smart and quick on my feet, so I will survive.

This all has led me to where I am today, in a bar with one of the Captains from the notorious worst generation. I should have been terrified, but like hell am I going to pass up an opportunity like this.

The cat like man behind me was getting on my nerves, however, his eyes never leaving the back of my head. Everytime I thought about it a chill ran down my spine.

"Well you certainly are a very fortunate women," He placed a third card, reading it with such intrigue I had never though would appear on such a cold hearted man's face. At least I believe he's cold hearted.

"So, does that work in my favor here oooorrr..." I inquired.

"Yes, I think you will be of much use to me." He collected his things and stood up, walking towards the exit. "We don't have all day." I realized he expected me to follow him.

"What did the cards say exactly?" He didn't even bother to look at me, continuing with long, confident strides.

"Nothing you don't already know, Rabbit Foot." I frowned.

"I'd prefer if you just called me Y/N." I watched as a tiny smirk appeared on his face.

"Y/N it is then."

He took me to the Hawkins Pirates ship, showing me where I'd sleep, where the dining hall was and all that good junk.

"This is so boring." I hung my head as my pace began to slow.

"Yes, but it's important for you to know." He put his hand on my back to encourage me to walk normally as he still had more things to explain to me.

I looked up at him and frowned, "Important my butt."

He closed his eyes and shook his head in annoyance, "I can already tell your going to be much more trouble than your worth."

"How can I be trouble when I have luck on my side?" I gave him a cheesy grin and to my surprise he actually smiled back, but the moment was ruined when we made it to the crows nest.

"Every crew member takes turns..." Blah blah blah. I started to tune him out.

~Time Skip~

It's been a month since I joined the Hawkins Pirates, and at first my relationship with everyone was rocky, but they eventually came around to my semi-annoying nature. I wouldn't say I'm childish, just a bit overly energetic.

"Faust! I'm bored give me something to do!"

"You're asking for work?" He raised his eyebrow??? Do cats even have eyebrows?

"Well either give me something to do or I'm going annoy our emotionless Captain." I watched as he rolled his eyes and started to look around.

"Let's see...." He tapped his foot against the deck as he thought, "You could clean the kicthen, that always seems to need a good scrubbing."

I wanted to complain, since it wasn't my favorite chore, but I was the one who asked in the first place so I decided to just suck it up and do it.

As I scrubbed the countertops, I hummed a tune my mother sang to me as a child. I couldn't remember the words to it, just the way it sounded. I didn't even realize I was doing it, I guess it's just a force of habit.

"That's a lovely song." I nearly jumped out of my skin as I wipped around to see Hawkins at the entrance of the kitchen, watching me.

"You scared the crap out of me." He chuckled.

"That wasn't my intention, I was looking for you and Faust told me he put you on cleaning duty." He smiled, a soft smile that made my insides twist.

"Oh well, I was bored so..." I trailed off, being distracted by the fact he was growing closer to me while we spoke.

"Well I hate to intrude, but I need my good luck charm." He stopped two feet away from me.

"I'm not done yet." I deadpanned.

"I can wait." I stared at him in disbelief, but he stood there completely serious.

"I don't know how long I'll be."

"That's fine take your time." As promised, he stood there watching me clean, it was enough to make my face burn with embarrassment.

It only took about 20 minutes to finish all the countertops and floor.

"Alright, what do you need me for?" He didn't speak and it worried me that I had bored him to death.

"Hawkins?" I looked at him, concern etching my features.

"Stay still." He started walking towards me and now I was beyond confused.

"Wha-" He placed his hand on my cheek, brushing a piece of hair that had fallen forward behind my ear. My heart sped up, thoughts of his lips on mine invading my brain.

"That was bothering me." He pulled away and left the room. Leaving me completely stunned, but once I collected myself I was furious.

"What the hell was that Hawkins?!"
