I make my leg bounce up and down as I wait for them to call my name, pretending to be nervous.

"Serenity!" I hear someone yell. I stand up quickly and my parents pat me on the back to reassure me.

I know that I'll be deemed good because I've never done anything bad in my entire life, but there's still a chance... A man holding a clipboard looks at me and sighs.

"Another sane one I suppose. Boring." He mutters under his breath. I guess my pink dress with white flowers gave me away. He leads me into a room where a computer sits on a desk in the middle of the room and a mirror covers one of the walls.

I look at the reflection and see my red hair in a braid down my back, my dress didn't do me any favors, making me look like a little girl.

My face made me look nervous and scared, and I guess that's how I'm supposed to look. To be honest I don't really feel this way. I just control my body language to act as I'm meant to.

I sit down on the chair and look at the computer screen. When I see a survey, I look to the man for an explanation. I'm careful not to let my mask slip as he silently starts writing notes down.

I guess that I need to start completing the survey. I look at the survey and see the first question.

"Please write a paragraph on your dream companion." What a strange question, but I will answer as expected. A muscular brunette man who will take care of my family and I.

What a basic answer. I hold no love for men and I never will. A fake blush rises to my cheeks and the scratching of a pen against paper rewards it.

The survey was filled with strange questions and I have to write an answer for each one. It makes me slightly nervous but my mask does not slip in both words and face.

When I finish I stand up and mess with my dress as the man holds the door open.

As I exit a girl with soft pink hair walks in, a wicked smile on her face in a white shirt, tye, black pants at the call of her name.

~•~

When a man called, "Valeria!" I got up and my euphoria could not be contained so a savage smile splayed on my lips. People stared as I walked past in my pants, their small minds expect a skirt or a dress.

A girl walks past me as I enter the room. She has red hair and wears a pretty dress. A nervous look is pasted to her face but when I look into her eyes they're a cold calm.

My grin widens, she's not as perfect as she seems. She allows a flash of fear to cross her face but in her eyes, I see just see the surprise. She plays her part well.

When I enter the room I look into the mirror and admire my appearance, I think I look quite classy. I've prepared to leave this city and enter the home I've been longing for. I sit down and look at the computer screen.

I finish the survey quickly with little effort and exit the room, it isn't long until the results come in. A man stands on a stage with the results on paper.

"Every name I call will be transported to the City of Psychopaths, if your name is not called them you will be staying here." I hear whimpers of nervousness all around us,

"Heather, Jonas, Alex, Valeria, and Serenity." I chuckle at the sound of my name, finally, I will go where I belong with no more rules and dress codes. I look around at the relieved faces but my view is disturbed by the girl from earlier.

Shock covers her face and I can tell she expected her mask to be left uncovered. I laugh out loud and people stare but I don't care, I'm finally free and though the others don't get it yet they are as well.
