Hey, I’m Alex and I’m 16 years old. I have a little brother, his name is Lucas and he’s 11. I’ll admit I haven’t been a good brother to him. Everytime he would try to play with me, I would always make an excuse to get out of it. Sometimes I’d flat out ignore him. Honestly, I don’t remember the last time I hugged him.

He went missing today. When I told my parents I was reprimanded for it. They’re spending the next few weeks out of town, so I had to text them. What happened was that I had decided not to spend time with him again, and he went into the backyard by himself. That was a few hours ago. I didn’t notice he was gone until I woke up from a nap a few minutes ago. I checked the backyard and no one was back there but the shed door was wide open. It’s dingy and hasn’t been used since we moved into this house. I’m gonna head in there and see if I can find him.

Geez, It’s cold in here! Isn’t it summer?! There’s a hatch in the corner, though. He must be in there asleep.

Okay, so I opened the hatch and there’s a ladder going down so far that I can’t even see the bottom. I’ll climb down it now.

It’s cold as hell down here, it’s hard to write with my hands shivering like this. I’ll try to write what I find as I find it.

So far there’s nothing, just a bunch of empty rooms and stacks of papers talking about, whatever. I didn’t care enough to check.

Alright, I found something. My brother’s sock. I was able to spot it because it’s red and green. He got it for Christmas.

I heard something behind me. It sounded bigger than a rat, but quieter? I don’t know if that makes sense but that’s what I heard. Didn’t find anything when I checked.

I can’t find anything else that relates to my brother’s whereabouts. I’m gonna head up for the night. I can look more tomorrow.
