I hear a loud knock on my door and I quickly get up and look at my clock 12:00 am you sigh and wonder who could it be right now on a Saturday? you put on your sandals because you were only in a white tank top and some hello kitty pajama pants. you open the door to see Alexis, in shock you smile nervously and all that is able to come out is "hi"
"hey," Alexis says with a smile "did I wake you up?"
"no no I was just making breakfast," you say trying to cover your kitchen from his view
"oh great I was just gonna ask you if you wanted to go out in a couple of minutes, uhh maybe to the park?"
"uhh sure just give me a sec and ill be at your door," you say with a smile
"okay see you then!" he says as he walks back to his apartment
you quickly close the door and pause to think about what just happened. you think to yourself if he asked you on a date or if he was just being friendly...maybe just being friendly you assumed. then make your way upstairs to get ready, you pick out a dark blue striped long-sleeve with some dark green cargo pants and some new balance 530s. you brush your hair and put on some light makeup and take your wallet, phone, and keys and place it in a small bag.
as you walk out the door you walk and knock on Alexis' door. he opens it and smiles when you both make eye contact.
"Hey! ready to go?" he says grabbing his apartment keys.
"yea," you say going down the stairs and on the grass of the small driveway. you both walk to the park making small talk about all sorts of things like college, friends, and your life before you knew each other basically.
you arrive at the park and the first thing you do is start to sway back and forth on the swing. Alexis watches you for a moment before you snap him to reality.
"come on! don't you wanna go on the swing with me??" you say smiling at the cold breeze splashing your face. all he does is smile before he starts to swing with you and he quickly starts to catch up to your speed.
"bet you can't jump all the way from here," you say smirking at him
"watch me," he says smiling and slowly bringing his hands away from the metal chains he screams before he quickly jumps and lands on the hard small piece of wood on the floor. you laugh as he lands knees and hands first on the floor and then collapses on the floor and starts looking at you.
"What?" you say laughing still swinging
"bet you can't do it," he says with a playful tone in his voice
"watch me," you say mockingly as you take a huge jump to the point where you spin and land on your back. Alexis crawls over to you and says in a worried tone "are you okay?!"
you start to historically laugh and he chuckles at the sight of you he then slowly helps you get up and you look at him silence filling the playground. and you break the silence by laughing all over again. and Alexis is quick to join in. as you both are laughing you both quickly stop because of the sound of an ice cream truck nearing the playground. you both look at each other,
"want an ice cream" Alexis smiles at you
"Sure," you say as you both make your way to the truck

"ill get a big dipper vanilla ice cream?" you say pointing at the picture on the truck
