Milk Tea; Missing Byakuya

After finishing up searching the second floor, you went back down to the dining hall.

"Okay, ladies and gentlemen! How'd it go? Did anyone discover any interesting new anything!?" Taka asked.

"There's a library!" Hifumi exclaimed.

"And a pool! A freakin' pool! And locker rooms filled with exercise equipment!" Hina followed.

"There was not, however, anything resembling an escape route," Sakura said.

"Yeah... she's right..." Makoto uttered.

"Well, hey, there's no reason to get all sulky! Wait till you hear about my amazing discovery!" Taka said, "The warehouse and bathhouse on the 1st floor of the dorms are now open! And the warehouse is chock-full of food, clothes, whatever you want. There's so much it's insane! So go ahead and stuff yourself to the gills whenever you feel like! Ha-ha-ha!"

"Keep in mind, of course, that going out at night time is still prohibited. Please do not forget..." Celeste said.

"Okay, and what about a fuckin' way out of here? You find anything like that?" Mondo asked.

"Oh, well... umm..." Taka muttered.

"There wasn't anything in the warehouse we could use to get our asses outta here? Nothin'?"

"U-Unfortunately, no... not that I saw..."

"You fuckin' people... Who gives a shit if we have a goddamn pool now!? Or a warehouse, or whatever the fuck! We're still trapped in this piece of shit school! We need to find a goddamn way OUT!"

"Now, now. There is no point in taking your anger out on us," Celeste said, "Adaptation is the key, yes? For now, we must each find a way to enjoy our current situation."

"Whatever you say, ya fuckin' loon..."

"For now, let's just continue our investigation, and let everyone know if you should discover something," Taka said.

"So, are we done for today?" Kyoko asked.

"W-Well... yeah, I guess so."

The air was heavy as you all went to your respective dorms. You walked over to Taka and patted his shoulder.

"Don't let him get to you. We're all trying our best," you said with a smile.

He looked at you, a slight blush on his face.

"Y-Yeah... You're right...!"

"Goodnight," you said, waving to him as you went to your dorm.

Taka just watched as you left, his heart thumping against his chest as his face became more rosy.

It was now morning time, and you were in the kitchen and making milk tea for Celeste. You made sure to make it just right with no mistakes. You then set the teacup on a tray and brought it to the dining hall, where everyone else was. Well... almost everyone. Byakuya and Taka still hadn't shown up.

You set the tray in front of Celeste. She smiled and thanked you before taking a sip of the tea.

"Mmm~ I must say, this tea is delightful. I would expect no less from someone with a talent such as yours, Y/N," she said, a small genuine smile on her face.

You smiled bashfully, looking away in embarrassment.

"It was nothing, really...! No need to thank me," you said.

"You c-could've made some for the r-rest of us, you know..." Toko uttered.

"Oh, you guys wanted some? Sorry, I can go make you some right now," you said, dashing to the kitchen.

Within minutes, you returned with a tray with multiple cups of milk tea, one for everyone. You set the tray on the table and looked around for Byakuya and Taka, wondering if they would show up.

As if on cue, the doors to the dining hall burst open. Taka ran inside, a nervous expression on his face.

"Bad news, everyone! There is a mystery afoot!" He exclaimed.

"Huh? What happened?" Hiro asked.

"It would seem Byakuya refuses to leave his room! I stood there pressing his doorbell over and over, but he never showed himself."

"Maybe he just... wasn't there," Makoto said.

"I'd like to think so. But I'm worried something might have happened to him."

Everyone was quiet, the tension in the air thickening.

"Let's not jump to such rash conclusions...! He might just be somewhere in the school...!" You replied, though you were very nervous, "Why don't we all split up and go look for him?"

"Ah! I was just about to suggest the same thing!"

"Stop trying to one-up e-everyone..." Toko uttered.

"Okay, then I'll go check his room one more time," Hina said, "I'm just gonna keep on hammering that button 'til I get a response!"

"Very well, then the rest of us can go check the rest of the building," Sakura said.

"Yeah. Before it's, y'know... too late," Hiro said.

With that, everyone except for Celeste went your separate ways.

A/N: So... I just finished my first day of school. My feet were hurting so bad because my shoes were too big, and it was so hot outside. 😭 Anyways, I'm working on the opm manga rn. I'm gonna try to finish it this month.
