That made us both laugh. "God Ethie I love you and your humor." I looked up to see Ethan staring at me in shock. His cheeks were red and he seemed flustered.
"Ethie...are you OK?" "Huh..? Oh sorry" he rubbed the back of his neck as if he were embarrassed. "Why are you embarrassed dummy. Did I make you blush~?" I burst out laughing as his face turned a deeper shade of red.
"Dude, you're a tomato now. I'm surprised I'm able to do that after so many years of us being apart. Ethie you know... I missed you and I'm glad we bumped into each other today. I'm glad I unknowingly transferred to the high-school you attend. I missed you Ethie. I missed us." Shit I'm rambling.
" you missed me N/N?"
"Well duhhh~ why wouldn't I miss my sweet tsundere childhood friend?"
"Stop using that tone of voice N/N..." Ethan mumbled while his face was stained a bright red.
As I looked up at his beautiful azure eyes...
BANG
Zombies started pounding on the door.
I instinctively tried to huddle closer to Ethan while the sound got louder. He realized I was panicking because we didn't have any weapons on us.
"Ssshhh do as I say OK N/N" "O-ok Ethie"
Ethan slowly let go of me and quietly walked over to a shelf.
Oh that's right! He's on the baseball team.
He knows the layout of the equipment well!
"Catch!" He whisper-shouted at me and gently threw a baseball bat my way. "T-thanks Ethie!" I whispered back.
He came back over to me with a bat of his own. We sat in a weirdly comfortable silence ,minus the zombies, until the banging quieted down.
"C'mon N/N, let's go find a better place to stay. At least we know where we can get weapons." "Okay, Ethie... we will survive together right? You won't leave me?"
"Y/N I promise to never leave your side. You are my main priority. You and surviving with you."
