Hey! Welcome to my new story! Another LGBT+, I'm sensing a pattern. Oh well! I hope you like it and let me know if I ever add something that you find offensive or incorrect and I'll try to fix it! And sorry for the extremely short first chapter :P It should get better!
Love you guys <3

Brit double checked a peice of from his friend before ringing the apartment's doorbell. He hated looking for roomates. But, his exboyfriend Zeke recomended this apartment, claiming that the girl, Taylor, would be a good change in Brit's life. Zeke wasn't happy about Brit having to move out, but he said at least I can give you a good roomate. A girl's voice suddenly buzzed through the intercom.
"Taylor speaking," she said.
"Hey, um my name's Brit Johnson? I'm here about the apartment, Zeke told me about it?" Brit said nervously.
"Oh!" She said cheerily. "Come on up! You know which door it is I bet!" The intercom buzzed, signaling the conversation was over. Brit groaned and walked up. He wasn't a very social person. He had trouble ordering coffee how would he be able to get an apartment?!
When he made it to the door he knocked. A short girl with chocolate colored skin and an oversized sweater opened it and grinned.
"Hey Brit Johnson!" She said happily. "Hi Taylor," he said, holding his hand out. She took it, but instead of shaking it like he thought she would she dragged him into the apartment.
"So, let's get down to business," she said jokingly, sitting on the couch in the living room.
"Why do you need an apartment? Who recomended this one to you? How old are you? Do you have a job? Are you in school? Anything I should know about you?" The questions came so fast Brit's head was spinning.
"Ummmm well I need an apartment because I think I should move out of my ex's house, who was the one who recomended it to me. I'm 22, just got my bachelor's degree in college, I don't have a job yet. I do have an interview schedualed soon though, so no problem there hopefully. And I don't know if you're the type of person who cares, but I'm pansexual," Brit said all this quickly and quietly. He was very shy, and talking about himself made him really uneasy.
It didn't help that Taylor chose the couch that was smallest. She clearly had no concept of personal space (or she was trying to flirt).
"You're pan? Cool! I've never had a friend that's pansexual before! I'm ace personally so I'm not gonna go all crazy on ya," she said, poking his shoulder with a grin.
"So, who's your ex?" Brit blushed. "Zeke Edwards," he said, even quieter than before.
"Zeke? I know him! He was head over heels for his boyfriend a few months ago, but I haven't really heard from him sense then. I can see why if he was dating you," she said with a wink. Brit fought the urge to face palm.
"Well," Taylor said, standing up quickly and looking at a watch. "I need to get to work, so I'll call you later if you get the spare room! It's between you and my old friend Ellie," she explained. Brit nodded and stood.
"Thanks," he said as he walked to the door.
"Wait!" She called after him.
"Yeah?" He said, hand on the door handle.
"Can you give me your number so I can call you?" She asked, laughing lightly.

Brit actually did face palm at that.
