After the fight Ryu's mind would always somehow end's up to the conversation they had. was he really that ignorant?

"Which flowers do you like?"  Ryu asked while he and y/n were passing a flower shop on their way back home.

"Me? Hmm, let's see I like a lot of different flowers. Like pink garden roses, rain lily-" 

"What's that?" 

"Hmm? Rain lily? It's a flower that means rebirth and New beginnings. Isn't it beautiful that different flowers symbolise different meanings?!" Y/n gushed.

"I want mint chocolate, what about you Ryu?" Yuki said. He snapped out of his daze and glanced at the white haired female.

"same" 

After receiving the ice cream Ryu stared at it remembering a old memory.

"Why do you always eat... That?" Y/n said while watching as Ryu takes his ice cream. He raised his eyebrows.

"What?" 

"That thing" y/n pointed towards his mint chocolate ice cream. 

​​​​​"Did I ever asked you? Butterscotch" Ryu taunted back.

"Because it tastes good while mint chocolate taste like.... toothpaste" she said scrunching her face.

Ryu shrugged "suites yourself"

"Dude your ice  cream is melting" Hikaru said licking his ice cream. 

Ryu looked down at his ice cream, loosing the appetite "I don't want it anymore" he threw the ice cream in a dustbin and left from the ice cream parlour.

"Ryu can you please bring the attendance file from Mr Akumu?" Miss Aikawa, his science teacher said.

"Of course" Ryu got up from his seat and left the room. 

He walked through the empty hallways.

Ryu reached at his destination and put his hand forward to open the door but, someone from other side already did and stumbled on his chest. 

"Aww! Dude are you made of stone...or..... what?" Y/n trailed off staring at Ryu. "I am..... sorry?". Ryu stared at her before slowly nodding. Y/n screwed past him. 

Ryu again had the urge to apologies but his ego got high of him. He silently stared after her. Y/n could feel his eyes on her back but decided to ignore him and clutched the papers close to her.

"Ryu, did Miss Aikawa send you?" Mr Akumu said looking up from his paperwork. Ryu nodded and went inside.

Ryu silently walked inside his house and spotted his mother making dinner. "Ohh Ryu, you are home?" 

"Yeah"he nodded and stopped near his mother. 

"What?" 

Ryu shooked his head and hugged his mother, who was surprised at her son's behaviour. "What happened? You are acting weird" 

Ryu buried his face her nape "mom did you ever had a fight with with your friend, and felt like you have lost someone special?" He mumbled lifting his head.

"Why are you asking that?" Yumi's body became stiff. Ryu shooked his head and released her and walked towards his room.

"In high school I had a friend, my best friend" Ryu stopped and turned towards his mother. "We were really close, you know he was like my brother"

"What changed?"

"There was a boy, aito. I had crush on him since long time. He was you know...a Playboy"she chuckled.  "One day I decided to confront him. And Ryuga,my best friend. He wasn't fond of Aito." She looked at Ryu "you know you are named after Ryuga"

"When I said that I am going to confess he was angry. He tried to stop me and I argued with him that he is no one to tell me what to do. After the fight he left me told me to ' do what you want, but don't come to me later" Ryu stared at her, feeling the story was somehow similar to his own. "And later I found out that Ryuga left for America, I was devastated. Somehow I managed to confess to Aito but he rejected me in front of the whole school. That day I realised what Ryuga meant when he said 'you won't realise someone's worth until they left you' " 

Ryu silently nodded and headed towards his room. "And Ryu, I hope you don't make the same mistake I did"

With that Ryu was left in his own thoughts.
