Chloe is in her room reading ; if you consider scrolling through comments on her Instagram "reading" ; when she sees a beam of light come across her room from the house next door. So she puts her phone down and goes to look out of her window.
It seems as though the new neighbours must have moved in as all the lights in the house are turned on and seen as the old neighbours (whom Chloe loved very much) moved out a couple weeks ago, it basically has to be the new neighbours.
Chloe watches the house, looking through each window for any signs of movement, then the shadow of a girl appears and disappears again from the window that sits right opposite Chloe's bedroom window.
Chloe, intrigued, waits and watches to see if the girl will appear again. she ends up leaning against her window scanning the house for a round 10 minutes. Chloe begins to talk to herself,
" maybe they've gone to sleep?! I mean they've probably been moving boxes n stuff for a couple hours! They must be exhausted"
Chloe lets out a small huff and starts tapping her fingers on the window pane along to a song when all of a sudden...
" HEY, RED!" a voice coming from the house bellows out, startling Chloe to the point where she almost fell over
"are you going to stop staring or do I have to come to your house and make you stop!!" a brunettes head pops out of the bedroom window opposite Chloe's.
chloe looks confused but doesn't want to start off on the wrong foot with her new neighbour/s
so she shouts back
" hi I'm beale - Chloe beale !! * chloe stutters*, I'm sorry for staring ahaha, I didn't mean to seem weird but I was just wondering who my new neighbour/s we're going to be"
Chloe gives the brunette the biggest smile hoping it would make up for her weirdness but most likely did the opposite and made Chloe look even weirder.
the brunette shouts back again for the final time, " well hello then beale - chloe beale my names beca ' beca Mitchell', it's nice to meet you but we can skip all of that boring part of introducing ourselves and just skip to the fun part" *beca smirks and winks at chloe*
" my number is 079******** , text me"
chloe *stunned* goes to get a pen to write down becas number and returns moments later, beca it's just sat on the windowsill leaning out slightly.
Chloe has only just started to take in all of becas beauty as she stares back at her: becas perfect curves and small frame accentuate her boobs and Chloe definitely appreciates that, becas eyes and lips are perfect.
And while all of this is amazing, chloe prefers something else.
She already loves becas snarky personality, she doesn't understand why and probably never will but she always seems to be attracted to people who are basically the opposite of her. the way beca constantly makes the sarcastic comments and the way beca always has that smirk on her face makes Chloe's breath hitch.
Becas pov:
Chloe has this sort of goofy smile on her face and it kinda puts a smile on my face too, I mean I know we've literally just met but something about Chloe beale is different.
Different to all the other neighbours i have had, and different to all the other girls i have has talked to.
Something was different about Chloe and beca just couldn't quite put her finger on it.
Chloe yawns loudly creating a knock on effect making me yawn seconds later, so I decide I'm going to go to sleep ; I mean if you count staying up and making mixes as falling asleep then yea that's what I'm doing. But Chloe doesn't know that so I decide to just help her out with her tiredness
"Beale, Its quite late you should go to sleep"
She looks out of the window and giggles quietly "I will becs, I will but see you tomorrow!, at school I hope?"
Chloe looks at me questioningly.
"well I mean if you go to barden high then yes red you will, you will see me tomorrow, we'll that's if I show up at all to be fair"
I roll my eyes and smirk to myself - knowing how much this is annoying chloe.
" wait omg, please come in!! I want to see you tomorrow and I want you to meet some of my friends?!" chloe bats her eyes and give me the biggest smile ever.
"umm sure red, sure! I will come into school but I can't agree on meeting your friends or even being your friend, don't get me wrong you seem extremely nice but ask anyone who knows me, beale you don't want to know me - I'll just end up screwing up your life like I did with mine and apparently my dads and someone who I'll probably never talk about to you, yep them too"
I can feel tears beginning to brim in my eyes so I quickly wipe them and pretend like nothing happened at all.
Chloe's eyes meet mine and I can see them soften, and a small smile creeps up at the corner of her mouth.
"Becs, I understand if you don't want to be friends with me but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna do everything I can to convince you otherwise. And becs? I don't care what other people say about you - I'll make my own mind up about how I feel about you, because otherwise my judgement would most likely be wrong!!"
i can feel myself beginning to tear up again so (like I always do) I start to close myself off, blocking out Chloe and her perfect essence, her perfect smile and her perfect personality.
I know it's going to be hard and may end up hurting Chloe in the process but it'll all be worth it when Chloe doesn't end up getting damaged much worse in the long run.
"beale, I'm sorry but I just cant.... I know you want all this, for us to be friends and whatever but I'm not the sorta girl you should be hanging around with. I seem to hurt anyone that touches me or is close to me, and beale I just can't have you added to that list of people. You're too innocent, too kind, too loving for my dark and twisty heart."
Chloe's lip begins to quiver and I know she's gonna start crying, I quickly slam my window shut and draw the curtains closed.
I know Chloe's upset but she'll get over me.
This is the same thing that happened last time and I'm not making that same mistake again.
I'm not letting someone get close because either I'll hurt them or they'll destroy me like the last one did.

I'm sorry for how short this chapter is but I'll try make the next chapter much longer, im gonna include Chloe sad n then she texts beca then they text back n forth or whatever.
the chapter after that will be the first day back at school probs!!
