Chapter 1, The Shinning Sun

As Sun raced around the daycare, helping kids find their toys and get some kids to stop crying, Moon was in a corner, reading a book as he waited for naptime to roll around. Sun looked over to Moon then let out a groan as a kid spilled glitter glue onto his pants..

"Moony!" Sun cried out, Moon looked up from his book, sitting up from the bean bag,

"What Sun?" Sun stopped over, wiping glitter glue off his cheek, steaming a bit,

"I need to go clean up, look what they did!" Sun shoved his hands into Moon's face, glitter glue melting down his hands. Moon blinked then shoved sun's hands out his face,

"I can try, but I'm not the play type-" Moon put his bookmark into his book and then placed it down on the counter as he walked off to entertain the children. Sun watched Moon walk off then sped to his room to clean up a bit. It was close enough to naptime so he'd be okay, right? As Sun got a damp rag and cleaned his pants, Moon called to him, Sun let out a high pitch groan. Ever since his charger had been acting up, he hadn't been able to charge as much as he needed, which made him cranky. "What could you possibly want?!" Sun yelled as he turned to his friend who was now standing in the doorway to the bathroom, "...I just wanted to tell you the kids just went to bed." Moon said softly, crossing his arms. Sun's ray retracted a bit as he turned back to clean his pants, he let out a soft sigh, "Thank you, Moony." Moon nodded even though Sun couldn't see him. Moon looked up from the ground and faced Sun, "Would you like to use my charger? We can rest while the kids sleep." Sun thought for a moment, "Your's is wireless though, doesn't that mean we'd both be in the bed?" Sun huffed, "I think we're close enough, and plus, I am the naptime bot after all." Sun put the rag down and walked past Moon as he walked out of the bathroom. "Well, I'd like that a lot" Moon smiled a bit at Sun's response, "Good, 'cuz I wanna cuddle someone." Sun's ray spun a bit, "close cuddles orrr-" Moon chuckled and hummed his words "Close cuddles are just fine." Sun's rays spun faster as he hugged moon, "Yay!" Moon rolled his eyes, being a bit shaken side to side by sun's hug, "Damn you really need it- your mood keeps changing-" Sun pulled away from the hug with a nervous giggle, "Sorry about that-" Moon shrugged, "Whatever-"

As Moon crawled into the bed, Sun followed, cuddling into Moon's side as they relaxed, "You don't feel uncomfortable at all with this?" Moon asked, rubbing Sun's shoulder, "I mean...it's weird but we both need it." Moon nodded as he put his head back, "Good point..The charger working for you too?" Sun nodded, already dozing off, "Hah...Good night, Sun, I'll wake you up when it's time."

As moon woke up, he checked the time by the dull clock on his stary wall. He looked to Sun who was cuddled into Moon's chest with a leg over Moon's legs, and even though moon didn't want to wake sun, he started to softly rub sun's shoulders. "Sun? It's time for packup.." Sun whined, grinding more into Moon. Moon blushed a bit, shaking Sun a bit, "Come on, man, we can do it together-" Sun looked up at Moon, slowly opening his eyes, "But I'm comfortable.." Moon sighed, mumbling, "We do have a few minutes..."

Sun smiled and cuddled back into Moon, "Thank you, Moon pie" Moon rolled his eyes with a slight smile, Sun quickly sat up, "You smiled?!" Moon covered his mouth, "Go the fuck to sleep!!" Sun also covered Moon's mouth with a gasp, "Curse words!" Moon growled and shoved suns hand off of his mouth, "You smiled!" Moon groaned and shoved Sun back down onto the bed, "Go to sleep!!!" Sun laughed and squirmed around as Moon held him down, "You smiled! You smiled!" sun kept repeating for a moment before he saw Moon had tears in his eyes," Hey, hey why are you crying?!" Moon rubbed his eyes, "I am not!" Sun sat up as Moon tried to get up from the bed. Sun shoved Moon's face into his chest for a hug, Moon fought for a moment then slowly wrapped his arms around Sun, "Why are you crying, moony?" Sun asked, rubbing Moon's head, "I don't know-" Moon mumbled as Sun laid back so Moon was cuddled into Sun, "Was it because you were smiling?" Moon thought for a moment then nodded, "Do you not like smiling?" once more, Moon thought then nodded. Sun's rays retracted a bit as he sighed, "Well, I don't mind seeing you smile once in a while-" Moon lifted his head from Sun's chest, "Huh?" Moon hummed, Sun giggled as his rays sprung out, "Yeah! In fact I love seeing you smile!" Moon looked away, "But it looks weird-" Sun gasped, grabbing the sides of Moon's face and made Moon look at him, "How?!" Moon shook Sun's hands from his face with a groan, "It's creepy- even the parents don't like it-" Sun sat up and shook Moon by his shoulders, "I think it's very handsome! I love it!" Moon looked Sun right in his milky eyes, not realizing he was smiling a bit, "Even right now! I think it's much more pretty than al the glamrocks' smiles!" Moon looked to the bed they both sat on, "More handsome than Monty's?" He asked softly, Sun's rays spun as he pulled Moon into a hug, "Of course!" Moon smiled more with a slight chuckle, "And your eyes!" Moon, while sun wasnt looking at him, blushed a bit, "My eyes?..." Sun giggled and hugged Moon tightly, "Well yeah, goof! You tell me you dont like them, right?" Moon nodded, "Yeah...Cuz of the glitch-" Sun giggled, "I think one red and one yellow eye is cool!" Moon hummed as he leaned more into Sun, "I mean sure, it's scary in the dark but the def kids can find you better!" Moon went to lean more into Sun but Sun jumped up from the bed, making Moon fall with a yelp, "We gotta get the kids packed up, its been 20 minutes!" Moon got to his feet and rushed after Sun down to the daycare, Sun jumping down to the ballpit, Moon took his zipline down. He flew next to sun and helped him pack the kids up then rushed to quickly, but gently wake up every kid.

After cleaning up when the kids left, Sun walked around with Moon, talking his ear off, "So i told the parent gentle parenting is better because the child will trust you more! And learn healthy things!" Moon smiled as he listened to every word he said, "But the parent kept going on how they sweeaarr they didn't hit their kid and they just fell down! They're not gonna have black and blue bruises from a simple fall!! So i called Monty, he kicked the parent out and thats why Cps was here-" Moon nodded, "That was very brave of you, Sunny, Im proud" Sun looked at Moon and smiled with a giggle, "Thank you, moony!" Moon looked away from Sun with a chuckle, starting to walk up to the room, "Hey, we're already going up?" Sun asked, Moon nodded, "Well they fixed your charger so I thought maybe you'd want to get some rest in your own bed?" Sun's rays retracted, "But- I like the cuddles-" Moon sighed, "You have stuffed animals, Sun, you'll be okay." Sun whined but followed Moon to the room. Moon crawled through the tunnel to his part of the room and then got into his bed. Sun got to his bed and went under the covers. About 30 minutes went by when Moon sat up, not able to sleep. He groaned softly and got up. Sun said he wanted cuddles, so why not? Moon crawled to Sun's side of the room and walked to his bed. Sun was facing the wall, cuddling at least 4 stuffed animals. Moon scooted Sun over a bit and slowly got into the bed, big spooning Sun a bit. Sun whined as he shifted to face Moon, putting his face in Moon's chest and a leg over Moon's legs. Moon hummed with a blush, wrapping his arms around Sun as he slowly went to sleep.

It was about 3 am when Sun woke up, he yawned into Moon's chest and then realized...He was yawning into Moon's chest. Sun froze and tensed up as he realized Moon was asleep. After a moment of thinking, he moved his hand to Moon's hip to get closer to him. Moon's eyes lit up as he woke up from the sudden touch, "Sun?-" Moon asked as he looked down at Sun. Sun looked up as he quickly shifted his hand away, "Y-Yes, moony?" Sun studdered. After a moment Moon moved closer to Sun, "I don't feel close enough." Sun blushed as he wirred a bit. Moon grabbed Sun's hand and put his back on his hip with a hum, intertwining their legs, Sun blushed more as Moon used his own hand to rub Sun's side, "Is this okay?" Moon asked with a soft yawn, Sun nodded, putting his face into Moon's chest. Neither of them went back to sleep, they just held each other. Both blushing and smiling.
