Lola's POV
As Cailee and I walk into the front doors of our high school I start to feel a whole lot better. I mean, I've been going to school with most of these kids since kindergarten.
"So, whats your first class?", Cailee asks interrupting my thoughts.
"Ummm... let me look", I pull out my schedule from my bookbag and scroll through the list.
"Oh, of course, it's my AP American History class", I say enthusiastically.
Even though it's an AP class, I do really like history (I know I'm a dork).
"Oooo, fun", Cailee says sarcastically.
"Well, I'll see you at lunch!" I say.
"Oh ya, only 3 hours and 32 minutes!" she says excitedly.
"Are you counting down the minutes until lunch you weirdo!" I say with a chuckle.
"Bye, Lola!", she says changing the subject.
"Bye, lovely!" I reply.
That's right, I called her lovely, it's because she is. Anyways, time to find my next class... mmmmm... 102, 103, Oh, here it is 104!
I enter the room to find it completely barren. Wow, I'm the first one here. I chose the seat that is front and center. I like sitting up front because I pay attention better. Gosh, I'm such a nerd. I look up at my teacher to see an old man with a wrinkled face and shiny bald head. He doesn't seem quite interesting. I see him look down at a paper and sigh heavily. Then suddenly all the students start flooding in seconds before the bell rings. I kind of feel a bit odd being the only one a little early and sitting down. Did I not get the memo or something? The morning announcements goes through it's normal routine cutting my thoughts off. The announcements stop and I look at the front of the room where my new teacher was standing.
"Well, hello class. My name is Mr. Smith, and I will be your AP American History teacher for this year. So, let's get this class outline passed out so we can get into it." He says energetically.
When I get my class outline I notice that it is a total of seven pages long. Holy Crap! There is a lot of stuff here! As Mr. Smith goes through it all I start getting nauseated. I think about all the tests, quizzes, exams, projects, papers, notes, homework, and every class assignment thinkable that are in this class outline. The bell signals the end of class, so I pack up my things and head out the door.
My two next classes, I'm dreading. Pre-calculus and AP Biology. I also feel nauseous from the thick dense class outlines from those classes as well. I have no idea how I'm going to survive this year. I have so many assignments it's ridiculous.
At least Bio is over and I get to go to one of my most favorite classes, Drama. I walk through the hallways with my head high and a smile on my face because I'm almost in Drama. Then I see a certain ghost white complected, curly golden brown haired, football player that I absolutely hate. Carter Leon.
