"I was jailed honey" He looked away feeling so ashamed
"You were jailed?" Her eyes were wide opened
"Yes it's very complicated dear,I wished I could call you baby believe me ,I tried all my best to reach out to you"
"Please make me understand,you want me to believe you then make me understand cause I'm confused you disappear for 3 good fucking years" at the moment Anna blood was boiling
"Anna calm down,I'm trying to explain,believe me"
"What made you go to jail?What did you do?"
Anna wanted to hear more of the story,she wasn't understanding him
"Hmm,I was arrested for doing drugs" Christian lowered his head trying to avoid eye contacts with his love of his life
"Oh,you're still into drugs" smirked
"I don't know how to stop,I tried all my best to fucking stop drugging the rehabilitation didn't work for me" his voice was breaking,he was speaking with emotions
"Ohh I see" sip her Americano
"My lawyer tried his best to take me out of jail,and I promised me self not to drug again baby I'll change for you"
"Just stop,so I'm still your baby?" Anna knew the question to her answer but she wanted to confide in him
"Yes ,I'll always love you" There was pure sincerity in his voice
"So you got jailed cause of drugs and you want me to still take you back" sighed
Anna wasn't sure if she should continue this relationship with him she's scared if he's going to go back to his drugs and beats her if the drugs takes control of him ,she thoughts of so many things,scared and still hurt if she remembers the past ,the relationship hasn't been so good
"Babe I can't fucking leave you ,I've been clean for the past 3 years believe me give me one more chance" Christian reached for her hands and took them in his ,squeezed them gently
"You've been clean for three years,you still need to go to the rehab"
Anna knew what she was saying,she could remember how Christian didn't change after he stopped hoping there will be change,he still went back to his drugs.She was scared if this one won't be like that.
"You still don't believe me,I'm changed now"
"Hmmm" sighed
"I'm so sorry baby"
"You left me for good 3 years Christian I should have moved on" She cupped her hands round her coffee cup
"It worth all the wait dear,I know you love me so much as I do now I'm here dear I promise to change,I promise to treat you right" His eyes piercing through her eyes he wanted to gain her trusts and be rest assured he's going to be the man she wants.
"Christian we can't come back" she felt a pinch in her heart
What did she just say? She didn't mean too
She wanted him back as he wants her too,she wasn't ready for the relationship now.
"Anna..." Christian looked at her face he looked so pathetic and heartbroken
"I'm sorry not now Christian ,not now" She was giving a little space in between them she wanted to see if he has really changed.
"I understand,but can we see more often?" Christian hoping for a good start
"If I'm less busy I'll try and see you again,I need to get going" Anna stands up
"Should I pick you up"
"With which car,you prolly sold you car to get drugs" she felt like crying at the points,Christian lost everything he worked hard for.
"Anna,please I'm sorry I promise you everything will come back to normal" he stood up.
"You sold it?,so I'm right you sold it"
"I sold it to pay my lawyer in California" he felt like the ground should swallow him up,he felt so embarrassed.
"Oh"
"Anna please I promise everything will be fine"
"I'll get going now ,take care of your self"
Deep down Anna wanted to stay and spend some more time with him,she took a taxi and head in.
Christian sniffed his nose,he was going to miss her.He understands he needs more prove that he has changed and his ready to be a better man.
Anna got home earlier than she expected,she was hoping for a longer chats with him.She hit her head with her hand.
"You stupid girl" she whispered
She took her bath and sat down on her bed hoping to see his texts on her phone screen.
A text message just entered her phone,she turned it on and saw James text,she opened it wondering what he want to say after what he did to her."Hey honey,I'm sorry for what happened yesterday something came over me I'm so sorry I just keep cursing myself for what I did I swear I didn't do more then that I'm so sorry Anna please forgive me i promise to be a better man for you"
"He's a coward" she bit her lips
Anna remembered the incident that happened on the tv this morning.She turn on the television,the news of the incidents appeared again
"Who is the killer" the reporter announced
Anna looked scared again watching this made her tremble ,her hearts was beating fasts and her face were pale.She took the remote control and switched the television off.
