"Well well." My grandpa said after taking a sip of tea.
I looked around furrowing my brows and rolled my eyes.
"It had been a month since you moved. And i can see you are well behaved." He said smiling at me.
I faked a little smiled.
My ass.
"Is there any reason for not to be?" I asked taking a sip of water.
This is what i need now. A heart freezing glass of water.
"There isn't many reasons. I just thought you would be those typical teenagers." He said.
"Oh" i said.
He didn't say anything and just looked around. There was nothing to look around.
We both were at a cafe entirely booked by my grandpa. For why you might ask. The reason was he wanted to talk with me. My typical wattpad psychic mind told me he was gonna get me married to a 50 year old mafia. Well now we are here talking about *school*. I am kinda disappointed. This school issue is very irritating for me. I really don't want to talk about it now. God, please change the topic.
"So, have you met your cousin Joe?" He asked.
Thank you God for listening to me.
"Yes. Joseph was an interesting fool. He really didn't miss any chances to prove his foolishness." I said flashing an innocent smile.
"Finally someone agrees with me. I am gonna ask you a question now. What if Joseph takes over everything and has control over everyone? Can you explain the aftermath?" He asked by squealing his both eyes.
I closed my eyes and kept the tea cup on the table.
"It is gonna end in this way. So, first one is after having everything, Joseph will remember his childhood and cry over his not so hard days. Boredom will take over him. He will try to act like 40s with the boredom of world. To save from boredom, he will fall in love someone equally opposite and exact fool like him. Then after marrying her, he will start to involve every matter and every problem of hers. And the company? It will be nothing compared to his love. So, it's just a just matter of time for us to end up in streets. After 2-3 years, it's safe to say you and me will be begging in the streets. " I said kinda with a cold voice.
The sensation of cold ices is going through my nerves.
"You are an anti- romantic teen. But with 30 years experience I am afraid this will happen in the future. Even I once tried to do it and he is my grandchild. This is bound to happen. " He said.
"Love is important but for that I can't cut my blood line and chase a person like a sick puppy. Personally, I never wanna give a third person my life or their involvement. It's just unnecessary."
Great! From talking about school to talking about love. How sweet! My time has been successfully wasted.
Grandpa didn't say anything. He chuckled.
I know you are just testing me. But if this is a test, remember I never lose.
"You know every single person I had a talk with about Joe's matter, they just encouraged me. There were only pros with no cons. Listening to them really made me believe what was I doing. "
Realized what you were doing?
"Well the problem is I am not his mother or his girlfriend. So, as a third person every single mistake of his is coming in front of me. I can hide him but not his mistakes. And this time I am disappointed. " I said.
I put my hand under my chin and again started to listen.
"Even though he grew in front of me, it really didn't cross my mind. I am doubtful about him being heir. It's too much." He said by touching his temples.
Say this to yourself two years ago.
Still closing my eyes, I gave a fake smile again.
"For me, this money or heiress thing is just a waste of time. Let's be rational. Family stays but just to earn some money to sacrifice yourself is just stupidity. And I am not a give fan of it." I said.
"I am glad to have you here. " He said.
Of course. Who doesn't want a free janitor to guard their house 24/7?
"I guess." I said.
"Did you realize when you talk seriously you sound like an Alpha? A true Alpha. It's my bloodline after all" he said with a sheepish smile.
"More is incoming." I said.
Enough tea for today.
"I was very moody today. I didn't really had an proper answer today. You came to my head first. And I am glad we came here to discuss." He said.
Came and booked the entire cafe. So sweet.
"I am assured to have you. Wood, from now on you are welcome to my home. I am sorry I was skeptical about it. But now I know what to do." He said standing up.
You better know.
"What's meant to be it will be." I said by standing up.
We both shook our hands and flashed each other a warm smile.
It's gonna be an interesting journey.
