Palms sweating

Legs shaking

Breaths hitching

Mind bubbling,

With unwanted thoughts,

And dreadful feelings.

⅓ teenagers have an anxiety disorder

Making them want to reorder,

Their lives, their stories, their friends, their families, memories that make them a hoarder.

Someone needs to be a reporter,

Tell the tales of the lives once lived, kids now stuck in the land of mordor.

Now her fears walk directly toward her,

The mind once a safe haven now the newest form of torture.

Take some deep breaths,

As you grieve some more deaths,

Keep feeling like less,

Wishing for success,

While you hardly progress,

Under the stress,

Living a huge mess.

Feeling in need of calling S.O.S!

And you sit on a bench in the park,

the cool air dusting your face,

Glazing your cheeks,

Grounding you, reminding you it's all okay,

It will all. Be. okay.

When you want to throw up, remind yourself,

As much as the world seems to be ending all you can do is breathe,

And as long as you do that, maybe it will all be okay,

Correction,

It, WILL, all be okay,

Even if it takes all your life,

Surround yourself with the people that are worth your time,

Escape the world, travel into a safe place,

Your therapist calls it escapism you call it your safety net.

The faint smell of books and the scent of fresh baked cookies,

The salt in the ocean air surrounding you as you sit on the beach sand between your toes,

The bustle of a chaotic mall or the quiet of an empty field,

The world, for now, is a place of comfort and for now, there's no hyperventilating, there's no chaos sprinting in your head and for once you have quiet.

Its not a deafening quiet, its not painful,

It's a safe, it's comfort.

Thats the best type quiet, its the one that is craved,

And when you finally get it, and it's the best feeling in the world.

its bliss.
