Breaking of the world

Four Pillars

The sky was falling. Lightning ripped through the world's absolute blackness followed by thunder causing the earth to shudder in fear. Mountains careened through the air colliding and scattering even more fragments, the relentless wind never tired as it lifted the world's oceans forming huge waves that touched the tumbling sky. Molten fire leaked through the earth's crust like a festering wound that could not be healed, it was determined to destroy anything in its fiery path. Two formless Gods stood amidst the breaking of the world.

"Chaos you have gone too far," said one of the Gods.

"Order, you have forgotten you cannot exist without chaos" Chaos responded.

"This is beyond chaos, this is absolute."

"I tire of your words, you wish to control me. But chaos cannot be controlled. It can never be quelled. I can burn in the deepest ocean. I am light in the darkest sky. I am change."

"Don't deceive yourself that this act was not out of jealousy. You are nothing but a babe throwing a tantrum" Order spoke.

Volcanos erupted in flames, burning hot as the anger brewed in Chaos.

"You think I care about those insignificant beings? They worshiped you, but where were you Order when I crushed them all"

"This is nothing I cannot rebuild, you know this Chaos. You provide nothing but a nuisance"

"Not this time. While you have wallowed in your own hubris, I have obtained power that even you cannot fathom. Power to remake the world in my image, where even you will hide in the shadows in fear of my wrath."

Wide fissures began to crack open the earth, it spread across the world swallowing anything in its path. The world stopped, and everything stood frozen in position. Brilliant blue light spilled out of the fissures cutting through the darkness.

"Wait, you can't mean to-"

"Yes, I have learned to channel the spirit core" Chaos interrupted " I will become a God of Gods. Worshipped by all worlds. My power felt by all."

"Enough of this. What you wish to control what cannot be contained by a single God" Order said.

"Your doubt is amusing, you watch as I conquer all."

The blue light began to pulse slowly at first, then increasingly faster and brighter. The floating mountains disintegrated into many weightless blue orbs. Water evaporated into strands of light. The lights whirled in the still air, converging onto Chao's presence.

"This is what absolute is Order." Chaos spoke.

"I will not let this happen" Order smashed its presence into Chaos, a shockwave of immense power spread across the sky.

"You cannot destroy me, it is against your very nature."

"I know, you have left me no choice chaos"

"Noo-"

The God of order sacrificed it's presence to entomb Chaos in four pillars, trapping the God and ripping the power from Chaos grasp. The mountains tumbled back onto the earth, blue light emitted from the fissures ceased. The falling sky snapped back into place. Blue orbs of spirit core drifted down to the ground. All was quiet, the world had become Godless.

Somewhere in the debris, amongst the destroyed wasteland a single green plant sprouted out of the scarred earth.
