"March 5th, 57 A.L.E. Time: Around noon.

I've been traveling for a few days now, slowly running out of supplies. Money is low, water is nearly gone, but hopes are still high! I found evidence of a town a few hours back, a makeshift marker sign pointing in the direction I'm heading now, roughly north-east. I'm hoping the town has a bar, I'd do a lot of things for a drink right now. Like paying. Or working for it, either or. It'd be nice to do something other than walking."

The man stopped writing, tapping the eraser of his pencil against his lip. This wasn't turning out to be a very interesting log entry. He stared down at the town nestled in the valley. The wastes had been brutal, and he needed some respite. Finding this town had been a godsend, even if he hadn't actually gone down to it yet. His throat felt like sandpaper, and he was pretty sure the last tumble he took he had swallowed a dune. Luckily, if his previous encounters with other towns were any indication, the small building on the far side was the bar. With a smile, he decided to finish writing there, with a cold drink in one hand and maybe a bagel in his mouth. He knelt down, attempting to locate the best way down the cliff he currently stood on. The cliff gave him an answer when the chunk of outcropping separated, and the man went tumbling head-over heels down the rocky cliffside.
