"let me hold you"

Chaeyoung followed the sound of Mina's coughs down the hallway until she reached the bedroom.

Standing in the doorway, she couldn't help but smile when she saw Mina curled up on her side of the bed rather than her own.

One leg was placed over the blanket and one was underneath it and she rested her cheek on the pillow to try and find a little comfort in the coolness of the pillowcase against her skin, desperate to try and relieve the heat she felt from her fever.

"Mina? Darling, are you sleeping?" Chaeyoung asked as she tiptoed into the bedroom.

"No," Mina mumbled and rolled over onto her back, groaning over the ache of her muscles. "How could I sleep without you here to hold me? You're home! I missed you."

"I missed you more." Chaeyoung smiled and put her lips against Mina's forehead. "We all missed you today. It was a weird day spent in the studio without you there."

"I wanted to be there but you told me to stay home, remember?" Mina reminded her girlfriend as Chaeyoung put her hand against Mina's forehead.

"I remember. I did it because you're sick and you need as much rest as you can get. As much as we all missed you today, we'll have lots of fun in the studio when you feel better and recover from this icky flu."

Mina just hummed contentedly as Chaeyoung began to caress her cheek.

"You've got a fever still. Do you need some water or some food?"

"No. I'm okay. I got some water a little while ago and I ate a little soup. It helped my throat a little."

Chaeyoung watched Mina open her tired eyes and then close them again as she leaned in and gave her a soft kiss on her warm cheek.

She's not sure when or where she got this terrible flu from but she hates seeing Mina struggling and sick nonetheless.

It's not that type of flu where you throw up but rather the other one where your throat feels raw, you have a terrible cough, a horrible sneeze, and you get so fatigued you sleep the days away.

It might even be worse than the type where you throw up.

It's terrible and Mina can't remember the last time that she's felt this sick before.

She's almost certain that she hasn't ever felt this sick before.

"I've been waiting for you to get home to take care of me. This flu is awful but it's so much worse when you're not here with me." She pouted at Chaeyoung.

Chae frowned and brushed a few hairs away from Mina's forehead.

"I'm sorry you don't feel good. Tell me what I can do to make you feel better, baby. I'll try and make up for not being here with you today."

"Cuddles would help a lot."

Chaeyoung didn't say a word in response.

She just laid right down next to Mina and got comfortable, knowing that this is where she'd be spending the rest of the night.

"Put your head on my chest. Let me hold you." Chaeyoung whispered to Mina and cracked a small smile as Mina laid her head on her chest. "My poor girl. I hate seeing you so sick."

"This helps though," Mina mumbled sleepily. "Being able to hold onto you and have you hold me makes me feel better. I love knowing that you're right here with me and that I'm safe in your arms. Plus, you keep me nice and warm. I need that right now because I'm freezing."

Chaeyoung chuckled before pulling the blankets tighter around Mina and she held her a little more securely, keeping her close and warm.

"I love you so much. I'm sorry I wasn't here to cuddle you all day but I'm here now. I'll give you all of the cuddles in the world. I'll do anything to make you feel better, my love."

Mina smiled as she closed her eyes, listening to Chaeyoung's heartbeat.

She's such a softie when it comes to Mina, happy to be wrapped around her girlfriend's finger.

"I love you more," Mina whispered as she began to fall asleep while Chaeyoung started to brush her hand across her back.

Being cuddled so close to her girlfriend made her feel okay for the first time all day.

She knew that she was safe now and she knew that Chaeyoung wouldn't let her go until the sun coms up the next morning.

She's getting all the cuddles her heart desires and that brings a flutter to her heart despite how ill she felt.
