I awoke from my dream and eagerly jumped out of bed. My gaze quickly shifted to my brother's bed. I didn't see him last night after dinner. Nor did my mother acknowledge him.

"Micheal?" I whispered. I didn't get a response so I quickly made my way to the bed.

I think I was disappointed when he wasn't there.

My eyesights never been the greatest but I always faked things with the eye doctors to not get glasses. I knew I'd look dorky. And looks are everything to children isn't?

Everything functioned normally most of the time.. Same thing everyday: get up, get ready, and go to school.

Nothing really changed even with my brother around. We never were in the same classes so,, I didn't really notice anything odd. Per Say.

This went on till teen years where stuff really got odd.

For reference I am 23 while writing this.

Things got really crazy when I was 15.. And Just went on from there..

What am I doing? Starting off as a five year old with only vague memories?

I know better than that.

"I don't think this is really the greatest idea.." spoke a brunette boy with a jacket that the senior jocks wore. "C'mon Jack, it'll be fun! I know you don't like haunted themed parks too much but it's Halloween we have to do something spooky." Jack sighed and rubbed his arm. "I know but, Can't we just carve pumpkins and or Tp\egg our English teachers house or something?" he asked, breaking his gaze.

"If you're such a chicken, go to your 'girlfriend' and do that." I said. "If you have one that is~" I then added Jack whipped his head back. "I do have a girlfriend! You're just jealous." I tilted my head to one side quickly putting my hand on my hip. "Really what is her name?"

"Katie."

"Really? Because last week it was Jessica!" I smirked as his face went red. "W-w-we broke up, that's all!" He stammered clenching his fists. "Sure~" I teased. "Now let's get a move on. This horror attraction won't wait itself." With that we both walked off. Heading over to a few other Freshmen that were in school.

I heard a few shrill screams from Jack from some things here and there. Sometimes I got scared too but Jack was so terrified it made it amusing.

I'm not trying to sound like an asshole but. Jack really, like really made it hilarious.

Jack and I met in 7th grade but quickly became friends. We stayed friends after finding out we'd be going to the same High School. Our relationship dubbed up to Best friend after a while. To be honest,

He was my only friend.

As sad as that may sound.

This isn't meant to sound sappy but,, it is isn't it?

But, what more can I give?

More time skips. I don't remember a lot of my youth I know time and present but, that is not the point of why I'm writing... I want people to know the truth about what happened. But... I just can't remember

"I Don't know about your friend, Jack.." Micheal finally spoke up, I shot in a questioning glance before continuing my school work that was due in a few days. "What do you mean, you've known him since 7th grade." I said calmly. Micheal rubbed the back of his neck. "I know... he's also friends with some of them popular kids isn't he?"

I lifted the tip of my pen to my chin pondering on his words for  a second. "he is.." I said. "But being popular doesn't mean a lot anyways." I shrugged as Micheal opened his mouth to objects but he quickly shut it.

"Also you're not one to talk about this since you never make friends." I added after a bit of silence. he plopped himself onto my bed silently acknowledging what I had said. A smirk came to my face once he said nothing.

"You don't think he's using you then?" Micheal asked. I swerved my chair to look at him. "Of course not! What makes you think that?" Micheal blinked at me. Nothing told me what exactly he meant, body language his expression even. "Just a thought." he mumbled. "Well, it's an outlandish one! He brother is part of the football team, he is only popular because of it!" I explained quickly. "Sorry, sorry." Micheal clearly wasn't sorry his tone couldn't deny that, his gaze flick to the door. I followed his gaze and nodded slowly.

"Right,, um don't you have some homework to? Why don't you go do it." He nodded and left. I wasn't sure what he meant but I didn't want to know.

(prob some errors but whatever- Oh! something i should say is the time this all takes place is 1980s so ye '-')
