Yeah, you read the title of the story! Well, yes, maybe you didn't associate the right word, you probably read „WorLdtravellers", but at least you found this page.
You will ask: So what? I opened up this page while I was chilling on Wattpad, having already read all other stories that interest me.
Well, if you are in search of a story, it's possible you are on the wrong page for that. Here, in this very piece of english writing (little by the way notice, I myself am a German/Scottish author who writes german fantasy books), I want to talk about how words can inspire.
By this, I don't mean spoken words. Obviously, if someone says „Oh, you look even fatter in that halloween costume than you did last year", these words might hurt you. Well, depending on the person you are. Could be that you are dressed up as Garfield the Cat and you react by warning the person that you are going to send them to Abudabi in a sealed box. I know, only true Garfield fans can relate to this comparison xD
So, back to the words I mean. Written words. Black ink printed onto sheets of white paper. At least it is most of the times, I have already seen the weirdest kinds of written language. For example black pages with white writing. Or blue...or green... I think you get it.
Words can come in many differnt ways. They could be on the backside of a granola packet you read while having breakfast. They might appear on your shower gel and lead you to interesting paragraphs about Saltcristals and Sodium. But the best words are the ones in books. When a book is closed, its just a stack of white paper sheets with black ink. Or blue ink. Or green... Ok, ok, I am going to stop these little digressions.
At least, books look pretty boring when they are closed. There might be a cover with lilac flowers and golden glitter, a couple kissung in the moonlight or a dragon swishing through the cold, night air. But inside, a whole new world awaits you.
In many romance books the protagonists have to stay on earth, bound to a world with lots of people with great imagination. Great imagination that makes them write storys and books. Still I prefer Romantasy and Fantasy Books. Love storys are so much warmer und prettier when they take place in magic forests, sparkling lagoons or in a desert where talking roadrunners sprint by. Instead of kissing in a Mc Drive somewhere in Houston, you could be riding on the back of a dragon, or sitting in a boat, floating over a lake consisting of tears.
I think you get it. You, the reader of this...ummm...piece of english literature, you are a very cool person. Thank you for reading.
No no no, wait, I am not done yet xD There are still a couple paragraphs to come. 4, to be exact.
The important message of this is: In my opinion, authors hold the world in their hands. They live on the beauty of words and without moving, they travel through a world of words. By writing books, they invite others to share the journey.
I must say, I have read a lot of good books so far, but the ones, that touched me the most, where fantasy books. And there is one specific series, a kids series on kika, to be honest, that holds my heart. „The little Prince."
Google it. Its an animation series about the little prince and his fox and his lovely rose. Its about travels from one planet to another, trying to save them from the evil activities of the snake. And the best: Every planet is unique and written so lovely that you simply have to fall in love with its fantasy world and . The planet of colours, of music, of time... Just watch it, believe me, it will inspire you to write yourself.
And I hope this was an inspiration for you too. Remember, imagination is limitless.
