Naruto slowly walked through the village. His excitement this morning seemed to have fade away. And he appeared more of a husk then a  person, walking through the village. But, nobody seemed to notice. As the villagers paid him no mind. They were all away, gathering groceries, or talking in shops. Naruto nudged along, keeping to himself. It seemed as if this was the routine everyday.

"Hey! Little Kid!" a deep male voice called from somewhere behind Naruto. He poked his head up. "A-are you t-talking to me?" Naruto said, daring t hope that this was the one person who would  ask him, ask him if he was okay.

"You see anybody else here? Of course im talking to you! Now get the Hell out of my view before I-I" The man shouted, smothering the tiny flame that had started to grow inside of the little kid chest.

"I-im sorry....." Naruto turned on his heel and ran. Needing to get out of there, needing to get away. Away from all the stares, the names, the awful looks, the judgemental eyes. As Naruto ran through the village, people starting talking. Not in a  whisper for they knew that Naruto was forbidden to harm them. He was forbidden from harming anyone. Friend or foe. Or even rogue Ninja.

"Which is what makes him such a useless ninja!" An elderly woman had just finished explaining to her daughter.

Just before reaching the Academy gates, Naruto slowed his pace, until he was standing in front of the gates. Already knowing he was late, there felt like there was no point in going any faster. And almost as a reminder to himself, he thought: Just keep smiling, don't ever let it waver, don't ever let anyone know what's going on...No one will ever what to want to anyways.

This was his daily reminder to himself, what he said to himself everyday before the academy. So, despite what Naruto was feeling, he bottles his feelings, hiding them deep down, so that they never surfaced. And placed a smile on his face, making sure his eyes sparkled as well, so that no one would ever tell that it was fake.
