The Twin Besties

Chapter One: Gabby

It had just been half term and me and Poppy were stood at the cold bus stop waiting for our bus with our best friends who were also twins called Anna and Ella. Just then the bus finally turned up. We all lined up and got the bus passes out of the backs of our bags for each other and because I was at the front of the line, I had to go behind Anna so I could get hers out and hand it to her.

Roxy and Emma had already saved us some seats two pairs of seats in front of them. So I sat next to Poppy (as usual) and Anna and Ella sat next to each other and we all got Centuries up on our phones and pressed play at the same time and drowned the whole bus with music. We were singing along happily and before we knew it, we had arrived at school.

We all made our usual entrance by pushing the double doors as hard as we could so they hit the wall at a tremendous speed and we all came running in to the place we always hang out to greet all our other friends. I ran straight over to Abi and Lissy who lived about 20 minutes away from me and Poppy and we only saw them once that half term! "I have missed you so much!!" I cried.
"I have missed you too!" Laughed Abi as she hugged me.
"We need to meet up more often in the holidays, I don't know what I am going to do in the summer holidays!!" Cried Lissy and pulled us both into a group hug. As we broke away Lissy suddenly looked sullen. "Have you heard about the new girl?" She asked me.
"No. Why?" I replied.
"Well, there have been roomers going around that she is a bully and she is really mean."
"Roomers aren't always true!" I reminded her.
"I know but I was just warning you. If she does start hanging out with us, I just don't want to lose you!"
"Don't worry, you won't. What's her name anyway?"
"Lydia. She is coming here from..."
Just then, the bell rang. We normally had loads of time to see everyone and chat for a bit but as our bus was late, we didn't. "From where?" I asked but it was too late, Lissy was already getting hauled away from the crowd. I walked into form with Poppy on my heals.
