It been a few months since my uncle died I couldn't manage much on my own he had been the best father figure growing up it brought me back to the same whole the same one— when my parents passed away in that car accident and yet I was the only one to make it out alive.1988 October 20th exactly on my birthday was when my uncle adopted me when I was only 5 years old I still remember everything about him, he had such big dreams for me he and himself he was a archeologists and a historian who worked all around the world I loved coming home hearing about his journeys and the photos he took it always make me excited.
it was now 2011 December 12th I had adopted a son, I named him Fergus he was now 2 years old he had beautiful thick black curls just like me he had lovely dark eyes and he was the light of my life, he had similar chaos but he was so young he won't remember what happened to his parent's abandoned him when I saw his small body in the NICU I knew he was going to be my son.
I ran into Fergus when I was learning to become a nurse surprisingly the hospital I worked at during the time had a NICU and I couldn't help but look at all the adorable babies.

She looked at her son who was fast asleep in her arms she gently stroked her fingers through his messy curly hair she was trying not to wake him, and she slowly placed him in the middle of the bed.
"Goodnight darling," she whispered planting a kiss on his forehead.
She worked hard and researched more about becoming a doctor in the high fields she knew it would take time but she was willing to take a bigger step in her career and learn everything she could.
Luckily she had a great who assisted her through the fields and his name was Joe Abernathy he was someone she could take to whether her problems were too personal or not; 'he was the closet friend I knew.'
She stayed up till sunrise researching till she fell asleep on the computer.
"Mum!" the young boy called, "Mum," her son called again tugging at her gown while holding his stuffed animal.
He always found comfort with her no matter how many times she had fallen asleep on the computer.
"Alright Fergus I'm up baby," she said as she got off the chair and picked him up, and hugged him close to her.
He babbled to himself and pulled her hair lightly, "Ok let's make breakfast shall we," she said rocking Fergus on the side of her hip.
She made French toast with eggs something quick as she was already running late for work.
"Damn it!" she mumbled to herself looking at her phone it was 10:53 am and she had to be at work by 11 o'clock, "Hurry and eat buddy, ok?" she added as she kissed his cheeks.

She arrived late to work bringing Fergus with her; she had no other choice, "Claire!" Joe shouted out to her.
"Oh hey, so sorry I'm late I had business to take care of," she said glancing down at Fergus who was holding her hand.
"Hmm, it's quite busy today— how about I call my wife to come to take Fergus just till we're finished work," Joe suggested, "If you don't mind of course."
She nodded agreeing.
He walked over to the entrance of the hospital to ring his wife.
She lifted Fergus in her arms, "You have to stay with Gail ok?" she whispered to him even though she knew he didn't understand her.
Claire continued her shift with Fergus till Gail arrived to take him just until she was done with her shift, 'I'll see you later' she said briefly and hugged him the day went on from there.
She helped Joe with his work she worked with more experienced jobs such as learning how to examine a patient properly, Joe applaud her throughout the whole way 'She knows exactly what she's doing.'
Joe continued to listen to how she answered the patient's questions she was smart and very wise, and he thought she'd easily make it as a doctor.

After work, she walked out with Joe, "Thank you for taking Fergus it was a major help, I don't think I could've done it with him here," she laughed at the irony of the situation.
"Oh it's no problem, Claire, it's good to have another pair of hands at work I'm sure things will go smoothly now," Joe said leading her to his car.
Once they made it Gail was sitting inside with Fergus and her daughter in the back seat, Gail got out of the car and took Fergus from the back of the car, and handed him back to Claire.
"Thank you, Gail I appreciate it," she smiled as she reached for Fergus.
"How was he today?" Claire asked bringing Fergus to the nuzzle of her neck.
"He wasn't a hand full he's a charm— if you ever need to bring him again I'm always open," she teased causing Claire to laugh.
"Thanks, Gail, I'll keep that in mind."
