The moment you set your foot on the wooden dock you noticed the difference. Everything seemed sturdier and you no longer felt the gentle sway of the seas tide pushing the familiar waves. You stumbled a bit before finally being able to stand still.

'Maybe I should go back..' You thought starting to second guess your sudden confidence Beidou had given you.

But before you knew what was happening Beidou was dragging you along the dock towards a woman with honey white hair and piercing red eyes.

"Ningguang, hey!" The captain shouted and waving one of her hands.

The white haired woman looked up from her assistant's clipboard and noticed the brunette sailor. A warm smile melted like chocolate onto her face.

You, however, looked terrified. After a moment you realize this has to be Ningguang, the very important lady Beidou has told you so much about. You felt your body relax for a moment from the slight sense of familiarity, before tensing again when you heard her voice.

"Ah captain Beidou, how are you? You're docking due to damages to the Alcor, correct?" The elegant woman waved off her assistant but before she completely gave her attention to Beidou she noticed the poor girl seeming almost scared of her. "Oh, Beidou, who's this?"

Her voice sounded so smooth, it was almost as smooth as the ocean on a nice summer morning docked in Sumeru.

Beidou gave a hearty chuckle and looked down at you.

"Ah yes this is my first mate and best friend I've told you so much about. (Y/N), care to introduce yourself?"

You glanced at the two of them for a moment before straightening yourself out and giving a small bow and a kind smile to the stunning woman in front of you.

"Hello Miss, They call me (Y/N) on the ship so it must be my name, and as Beidou stated I am the First Mate on the Alcor. You must be Ningguang, Beidou has told me lots about you"

Your forwardness almost startled you. Since when were you cocky? Especially after you felt you were about to pass out from all the exciment! Mentally, you kicked yourself in the face.

The elegant woman's smile faltered for a moment, seeming almost embarrassed.. or maybe she was just as startled as you.

She was cute.

...

No. (Y/N) you can't fancy her yet, you just met the poor lady.

Maybe all these years of solitude on the boat had really gotten to you.

In your head you kicked yourself again, preferably so hard you fell into the shallow water of the docks. 

Before you could panic anymore, Ninguang finally spoke up, her composer regained.

"Ah yes the famous Ms. (Y/N), a pleasure to meet you. My name is indeed Ninguang. I am the Tiaquan of the Liyue Qixing. A pleasure to finally meet you lost one."

Suddenly every panicked thought in your head vanished. You paused feeling your blood chill in your veins. Some sense of unease and paranoia washed over you like the tide being swept in during the dark swallows of night. The words sounded so foreign in her mouth you were almost certain she didn't actually speak them.  You swallowed your unease and squeaked out a faint reply 

"I'm sorry, lost one?"

Neither Beidou or Ninguang seemed to hear though, already deep into a conversation of their own. You swayed on your feet for a moment almost with the sway of the sea. The light haired womens words left in your mind.

Lost one.. Were you really so lost?

Maybe she meant something close to meaning that you were born in Liyue but never actually set foot on it's soils? Or perhaps maybe she'd meant something like a nickname.. Or maybe-

"(Y/N)!"

The call of your name shook you out of your thoughts. Beidou and Ningguang were already at the edge of the dock closer to the city. She was signaling for you to follow them. Rushing over you finally stepped off the wooden planks of the dock, and on the cold solid cobblestone roads of Liyue.
