Dorothy Gale lives in Kansas. A dull gray place in 1900 until she is magically whisked away to the beautiful terrifying land of Oz. She discovers in order to return home she has to embark on a journey that will change her life forever.
A Retelling...
After a few hours the friends were becoming cordial with one another. They were close to each other, for the forest seemed to be never ending.
" does this mean we are all friends now " asked scarecrow .
" I don't know " replied the Lion " I mean we all share a common interest with going to see the Wizard".
Tin Man spoke " I've never had any friends really".
" well" Dorothy said " Toto has been my friend my whole life and I always wanted more. In Kansas, the part where im from, the population is low so I have little to no one to hang with other than Toto. We do need to stick together for it is safer and the company is nice for Toto and I".
Just then before them was a broad chasm that reached to the other side along with the road of yellow brick. There was a rushing water at the bottom. This put a gloom look on our friends faces.
Tin Man said " i knew we were going to bump into problems on the road sooner or later. Seems like The Wicked Witch of The East didn't want no one to leave her territory so she destroyed parts of the yellow brick road. Now my heart is as good as a dream".
" I'll never get my brain " followed the straw man " I was so excited ".
Dorothy cried " oh none of us has any wings. There has to be a way ".

The Lion paced back and forth looking at the distance of the jump and how high he would have to go in order for his plan to work although he was really terrified of falling down into the water.
" hey lion what are you doing" asked the Scarecrow.
He replied "Oh im so nervous, I think the only plan to go with is for me to carry you over one by one".
Tin Man spoke " woah, Lion im pretty heavy".
" i'm a whole human" said Dorothy.
Scarecrow shouted " well, seems like i am the lightest friend out of everyone. If something happens I will not be hurt".
" what about me, I'm still frightened to fall" said the Lion.
Dorothy told him " believe in yourself Lion. We are all gonna be right here and your not alone. If anything happens to you, we will do our best to retrieve you ".
So the scarecrow threw himself on the back of the beast and he walked to the edge of the chasm. Lion told himself to not look down and so he closed his eyes and leaped powerfully high and over the chasm, to the other side.
